I might have COVID. Got tested, waiting for official results.
Oh shit. I hope that you don't have it, or at least go through this disease without too many problems.

Honestly, if I do have it, I'm asymptomatic. The only symptoms that I've shown are a very intermittent cough, some sneezing, and some diarrhea yesterday. If I didn't have that yesterday, I probably wouldn't have even noticed it as one of the symptoms.

The cough is annoying, but not nearly as much as the discomfort in the lungs afterwards.
When I had it, I was coughing so much, I nearly vomited

Right now the worst thing I have is an ever-present stiffness/soreness in my left shoulder. That makes it hard to move around normally, and actually kinda hurts when I'm trying to get out of bed in the morning.

Every time I hear the name Trump, I have to stop myself from going to the wall and bashing my head against it (did this one time already, it didn't really help).

Seriously, America. Do the right thing and toss that idiot into the curb where he belongs.

Ugh... not nearly all U.S. citizens like what is going on over here either... trust me, anyone in a foreign country can listen to the stuff going on and turn it off or turn the page ((after said head banging :) )... a person in the U.S. whom does not like it has to live it day in and out.

The problem with anyone trying to change it outside the elections is the normal checks and balances in the government here has gotten seriously messed with under this guy, blocking almost all attempts to stop this idiot and his family members. I'm hoping for a miracle in November.

*I'm* hoping a miracle in November too, because that orange jackass could, at any moment, cause a situation that more than likely would affect me and mine negatively. If ever that time comes...

I might end up making a trip to America.

So yes...that miracle better happen and Trump pay the price of not being President anymore.

What exactly are people's problems with Trump anyway? I'm British, so to me, it just looks like you're all a bunch of whiny babies who don't like the way he talks.

-Well, he's a chronic liar, with over 20,000 verifiable lies and misrepresentations by July of this year since his campaign started.
-He obstructed justice on the investigations against him.
-He himself is the biggest whiner ever. When the supreme court he stuffed full of lackeys told him he wasn't above the law, he whined like a baby. "Never before has a president been so politically persecuted" or something to that effect.
-His business acumen sucks. He's failed at Building Trump properties (no one would work for him any more because he kept scamming contractors.) He cratered 4 casinos a total of SIX times. Casinos. He's cratered an airline, a steak company, a university, a beverage company (spring water), a vodka company, a milton bradley game, a travel site, a mortgage company, a entire Trump tower property in Tampa, the New jersey generals sports team, a Trump TV network , a Trump bike race, a Trump catering hall, and a radio talk show.
And yet, he claims he's a great businessman. He's not. He's an excellent con man. probably the best on the planet. That con man role is the only reason he has as much money as he does. An excellent sheister.
-He sexually assaults women all the time. Twenty five claims he's brushed under the rug so far. He's even famously quoted as saying, "Gotta grab 'em by the 'p**sies'" He's currently using the government to defend himself from a rape allegation against him, that happened before he was president. By pulling the government into the the case, the government becomes a defacto defendant, and you can't sue the government, so it will get thrown out. Like I said, an excellent sheister. He's cheated on every wife he had, yet forced his own current wife to say, "He'll never let you down!" during the Republican National convention a few weeks ago. He slept with Stormy Daniels 4 months after Melania gave birth to their son.
-He's racist as hell. Even his niece correlates that.
-The only reason he's president is because the Republican party Gerrymandered (they redrew voting districts so that elections would come out in their favor) their way into winning the antiquated electoral college, and by appealing to the lowest common denominator of our society: greed and racist fears. He actually lost by over 5,000,000 votes.
-Psychologists warn he has a severely narcissistic and destructive mentality. He actually likes to watch stuff metaphorically burn to the ground.
-He colluded with Russia on the elections and is suspected he currently is for this year's election. Trump and Putin (an acknowledged political enemy of our country, no less) had a series of 5 meetings after Trump was elected (yet he claimed to not know the man), one of which is so secret they confiscated the translator's notes. That is against protocol and against ethics by the way.
-He knew in November 2019 of the Coronavirus threat yet did NOTHING, going so far to call it a Democrat hoax as late as the end of February 2020. He has vocally stated that he accepts no responsibility for this as a leader, and has blamed everybody but himself for it. He even went so far as to claim victory as being the best response on the planet. Um, 184,000 dead later, 140,000 didn't need to die if he had a similar stance as other countries...
-He has for the last 4 years fought tooth and nail to not show his taxes, even going to far as to appoint a lackey/friend named Mnuchin to the IRS to help hide them. All presidents since Nixon have shown their taxes to help alleviate suspicion of conflict of interest or fraud. You don't go to those lengths unless you're hiding something big.
-He has installed his daughter and son in law in various positions, against ethics. He has been systematically installing sycophants to any position he can. That's dictatorship behavior, right there.
-He has racked up over $140,000,000 in golfing trips to his resorts. Trump blew past Obama's 8 year total in his first year. Since Trump owns the resorts he goes to, he gets a cut because of lodging all the staff. He also diverted military flights to an air base near his Scotland resort where soldiers there used his resort, and the resort billed the government, of course. Pence went to Ireland and used Trump's resort, despite it being on the other side of the Island from where he was going (180 miles away). This is profiting off his position, and is against the emoluments clause in our Constitution.

The Republican party refuses to do anything and stops everything in the Senate.

The list goes on and on and on.

-If he loses, I have every expectation that he will be on a plane out of the country on January 17 or 18 at the latest, as soon as he can, to avoid the litany of charges mounting up on him.

-Honestly, whether he loses or not, he and his rabid supporters will be responsible for the next civil war here, all the while blaming Democrats.

I tune out when I hear folks criticizing the Trump administration. Yes, he has his faults (as did all other US presidents), but the utter lack of "free" media to mention anything he does in a positive light has me drained. It isn't fair and makes it really difficult to decide if he's really that bad or not. Way I see things, we have other world leaders conducting war crimes who are almost *never* mentioned in a negative light - why make fun of just Trump? There are so many others who deserve that ridicule better, IMO.

Living in Canada, I kind-of wished he truly did get rid of NAFTA. It's not just the US automotive industry - the Canadian one has been hit hard with the movement of jobs+manufacturing to Mexico. Speaking of which, I really wish we also left the Paris Climate accord. It feels idiotic to agree that we (as a country) will reduce our greenhouse emissions by reducing our industry, but instead will outsource it all to China or anywhere else where they can pollute all they want. I remember what the Chinese said when the issue was brought up to them (para-phrasing) - "even knowing how it was made, you still bought the stuff, so who cares?"

Speaking of whom, I'm envious that the US left the WHO. What is the point of deferring know-how to an organization which, when asked to investigate the current coronavirus (which originated in the Wuhan province of China) just sat in Beijing for 3 weeks without ever visiting the place it actually started in?

The latest "headlines" about Russian collusion are just bizzare to me - there was never any hard evidence of that happening, and yet people want to believe it. Feels like folks just cannot accept that there are others out there who genuinely want him in office. Hard to say Russia "interferes" in an election when US companies like Twitter decide to just block the things he says (it should not matter if they determine its false or not - he should have the right to speak it and the public should have the right to decide if they want to believe him or not).

As for him blocking access to his tax forms ... I don't know about that one. Traditionally, US presidents have been public/open about where their money comes from, but as I understand things - that isn't a legal requirement. Until it becomes a requirement, I think it is fair for him to keep blocking that line of inquiry. And I'll freely admit it - I'm not comfortable having folks view/see my personal tax papers.

Do I want the tax filings of folks voted into power be public? Yes ... and no. Yes; as the citizen who voted the politician into office and no; from the point of view that I do not want an outside nation from knowing too many details of what's happening in my country. I understand that tax forms reveal a lot of personal details of an individual - last thing we need is for a voted politician to be blackmailed or something similar.

The crazy nutcase on CNN got the Tax Returns and there was nothing on them, and the Russian Collusion hoax was proven false. Multiple times.

Also, Obama was also proven to have pulled a Richard Nixon and used the FBI to spy on the Trump Campaign. But Orange Man bad, so it's okay.

Please post your sources on the CNN has Trump's taxes. There are no references to CNN that include anything other than variants of "Still waiting to get Trump's taxes."

Also, Obama spying: False. Politifact also references Trump campaign contacts with Russians.

Yeah, not sure I'm taking their word for it. I recall them trying to shift the blame for Covid away from China, and them trying to say it couldn't be transferred from person to person.

You can't have positive media coverage when the sum total of what he does is negative. It's a tsunami of awful because cruelty and destruction is the only thing his administration does. Not everything has two sides.

That's a tax form, not the full tax returns. Do you really think two pages is the sum total of all the tax information for someone who owns such a vast business? The only crazy nutcase is you if you believe that that.

Did you actually watch that?
Two pages. Of one year of a 1040 of a "Rich man." Have you ever filed a 1040? I'm not rich and mine and my wife's was 9 pages. Rachael says as much in the video. Again, ONE year from FIFTEEN years ago. If there's nothing wrong, why isn't he showing them, like every president before him back to Nixon? I'm genuinely curious.

Also, you failed to respond to the other proof of Trump's lie. Please don't handwave it.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is what we're dealing with in the US.

I have no horse in this race, I just think you're ridiculously biased and seem to think he's the literal devil. I don't pay attention to American Politics in general since I don't live there.

Why are people even bringing their politics up, on a Fanfiction Forum to begin with? (I know I asked why people seem to hate Trump, but why even mention him before that?)

See, as I said, this is what we deal with. Once cornered, people make any effort to escape responsibility. It's a natural reaction in us humans.

I'm not mad at you, or trying to make you look bad, but if I hadn't called you on it and proved you wrong, people would have dicounted everything I said based on misinformation and lies provided by Trump, the guy who has everything to benefit from those lies being propagated. That's the evil here.

But I do agree, I want no more of this in a fanfiction forum. People asked what he did, and I responded. I can't help that people didn't like the response.

I don't dislike the response, I'm just not knowledgable enough to argue anything because I'm not an American, and I get most of my news from the likes of Timpool when I do pay it any attention.

Well... I actually feel a bit bad now... the sole goal when posting was that *Eric*, not Donald, was accusing Google of conspiring to influence U.S. using anime... which is... well... I thought both laughable and relevant to the forum. I normally do not post on pure politics.

As for Donald... I don't think him evil, but not thinking him evil does not really change all the bad he has done, the lies told, and the sheer damage his antics have caused... including our relations with other countries, including England, Germany, and even Canada....
