Devil May Cry 5: Special Edition coming to PS5 and X-Box Series X day 1.

Sony's PS5 is the largest gaming console in history

According to Sony, the PS5 is approximately 390mm (15.4 inches) tall, 260mm (10.24 inches) deep and 104mm (4.09 inches) wide, making it the single biggest game console you’ve probably ever heard of. (I think that makes it a 10.5-liter case, in PC terms.) The model without the disc drive? Same story, just 12 millimeters slimmer.

Well, Elder Scrolls games suck on console anyway, so as long as they still come out on PC (and still make modding tools) it's not a big loss on that front.

Sorry, wrong thread.

As much as I prefer console gaming to PC gaming, I highly doubt Bethesda's most prominant series like Elder Scrolls, Fallout and Dishonored will become X-Box exclusive- not that that would affect me any since I primarily do all of my gaming on my own XBox and game on the Playstation consoles when I visit my Brother-in-Law. Nevermind the fact that mods are now available on consoles.

So, apparently on 'N7' Day, Bioware not only announced the Mass Effect Triology: Legendary Edition, but a whole new Mass Effect game in the works.

The few concept arts that have been released makes me think that we're going to be getting another game set in the Andromeda Galaxy- as there is a pic of what looks to be a Kett ground vehicle, Angaran buildings, a Remnant space structure and... For the coup de grace... What appears to be an under construction Mass Effect Relay.

As a huge fan of Mass Effect: Andromeda, I am actually hoping that the speculation with this being another game set in the Andromeda Galaxy is true. I'm also wondering what the "Bioware Canon" Mass Effect trilogy ending will be since if there is a Mass Relay under construction, it means the Initiative is going to be connecting to the Milky Way Galaxy... Or at least trying to. Considering the last transmissions the Hyperion received from the Milky Way Galaxy were from the Systems Alliance and Turian Heirarchy emergency broadcast systems and a last message from Liara T'Soni aboard the Normandy SR-2 (seemingly from right after ME3's Priority: Mars), it doesn't sound good.

It is sad in the sense that Marvel's Avengers had a distinct lack of competition this year. Most of the games that came out were remasters. And don't get me wrong, I can be hit with the nostalgia bug as strongly as anyone else, but people should want to be buying new games more than prettied up old games.

When the prettied up old games look better and play better than the new game, why wouldn't they buy the old game?

While I totally understand and agree with your point, That's not the point I was making. Personally, I liked playing Marvel's Avengers, though I do agree that it could have been a lot better than it was. This years titles that have come out, however, should be raking it in. That they're not should be concerning.

That's not to say that some games that have come out haven't been good. My brother-in-law just got Watchdog: Legions and the little bit I played of that yesterday was pretty cool and Red Dead 2 was also pretty awesome. Beyond those, Dragonball Z: Kakarot was awesome, but I am in no way unbiased and that game will largely only be enjoyed by people who are already fans of Dragonball.

Mass Effect 5 trailer

It just hit the Official Mass Effect YouTube page a couple days ago. So it looks like instead of Andromeda 2, we're getting a game that takes place in the Milky Way AFTER the Reaper War.

On one hand, it's goddamn ridiculous that KFC is getting into the video game business. On the other, my fat tuchus is like, "Finally! A way to keep my food warm while I'm busy gaming!" :p

I half-expect it to be something that'll be an all-purpose versatile emulator, and they'll make a handful of games to pretend like it's something to sell games on while wink-wink-nudging everyone who buys it for emulation purposes.

On a separate note, I hope whenever Sony and Microsoft release the inevitable mid-gen revisions/upgrades to the PS5 and Xbox Series X?/S?/1?/Gfwiohwqodgew that they drastically shrink the size of the actual console. I luvs me how easy it is to set my Switch up on my TV stand by versatility of its size

Not quite official, but apparently the Mass Effect Trilogy Legendary Edition's release date (which was slated to be Spring 2021) has been leaked by a number of retailers. It should be released on March 12th. Although whether or not Bioware/EA keep that date is up in the air. So that's something to look forward to. I haven't seen or hear anything about what's going to be new/upgraded from the original, other than graphics, but I am excited regardless.

GameStop stock hits $65, and the company is worth $4.5 billion now, 20 times what it was in July, due to what is called a 'short squeeze'. There's basically a story of stupid people being stupid here, as short-sellers were attempting to borrow shares and sell it, then buy later to return shares at lower prices. Meanwhile, the internet got a wind of this, and a patchwork community on reddit has attempted (successfully) to drive the price up by basically starving the market of available shares. Since short-sellers need to return the shares they borrowed, they have no choice but to buy the shares at higher prices. Since shares are also sometimes borrowed at a multiple of what's actually available, the decreased available supply continues to drive the price up.

Really, the whole thing is stupid, but it's fascinating to see real-time. The most notable short squeeze on record happened in 2008 when Porsche revealed they had stealthily acquired a lot of Volkswagen stock, and VW became the world's most valuable company for a day.
