I was reading one of the stories where Gai becomes Naruto's Sensei. If Naruto were to open the Inner Chakara Gates, how well would his healing ability work to counter-act the disadvanatages?

The second idea is if Sasuke was aware of the fact that Orochimaru admits that he cannot beat Itachi, would he be as willing to turn to Orochimaru for power?

I imagine that his healing would work up until the third gate. By increasing his chakra flow with the gates, he'll also increase the Kyuubi's chakra which heals him. The third gate is where I would say that he's pushing his max amount of Kyuubi chakra that he can and heal the damage that does, while his own chakra is damaging his body. Complete guess though.

One would assume his healing is insane enough to deal with the damage from the gates to a certain level. So he can do like, say, 1-3 gates before it becomes a problem. But the gates open your chakra paths... Naruto has Kyuubi chakra.

I read one fic where when he opens the first gate, he basically explodes with Kyuubi chakra, and you can even make the whole meeting with Kyuubi thing metaphorical and call whenever he first summons the chakra of Kyuubi, pre-first tail, the first gate. But yeah, you figure he can handle a few gates before he starts suffering just like any other. 1-3 in my personal opinion. Perhaps more, but I'd need to do more research to make that determination.

I did adress the issue, though my fic hasn't explained it yet - the explanation will come after Lee's fight in the prelims.

Basically, I assume that the seal containing Kyuubi is directly connected to each of the Eight Inner Celestial Gates, and they provide additional power to the containment seal, in addition to slowly letting Kyuubi's filtered chakra in Naruto's system.

If you reread my fic where Naruto met Kyuubi the first time (latest chapter), you'll notice the paperseal that's placed on the bars sealing Kyuubi is burned in one of its corners. That's a side effect of the partial opening of the Initial Gate, and is also why Kyuubi can now actually contact Naruto - the seal's stability has been slightly compromised, and while it can't be broken from the inside, the situation is delicate, and means Naruto can't use the Gates anyway, lest he break the seal and let Kyuubi free, which would almost assuredly kill him.

That is how I believe it works. *shrug*

I like how you think. Want to become my minion? You're guaranteed health insurance, properly fed, equipped with state of the art weapons and eventually given your own territory to dominate.

Of course, insurance doesn't extend to injuries taken while shielding me, food is proper... and only once a day, the weapons are state of the art for the Stone Age, and the territory is full of rats and cockroaches, but hey... what kind of evil overlord of all that exists would I be if I treated my loyal (?) subjects fairly?
