4 new episodes being created for the original Naruto show

In addition to announcing the end of BORUTO: NARUTO NEXT GENERATIONS Part 1 and the production of Part 2, the latest update on the Naruto anime's 20th anniversary celebration included plans to rebroadcast select episodes in Japan this July. That's not all, though, because the official website also announced that a brand new anime project is in the works, with four all-new episodes of Naruto to set to premiere this September.


As for what those episodes will cover, we'll have to wait for more information

Assuming it'll be original material instead of just adapting some of the manga that it skipped over.

I can only assume that, unsatisfied with ruining the Naruto series' legacy via Boruto, they now plan to ruin the Naruto series itself.

Apparently, Boruto is decently popular in Japan, if not quite at the same level as Naruto was.
