The manga author said that both Love Hina and Negima exist in the same continuity.

Motoko said magic users are rare. As the heir to an organization that works alongside mages she should have known better.

And that's that. Maybe I'll write more, but honestly I don't really know where to take this story without simply rehashing canon with Keitaro's condition being the only real change. Any ideas?
Hmm... Well, since it's been stated that Negima and Love Hina are in the same universe, there could be a brief crossover arc. Perhaps with a grown up Negima crew consisting of the 'core' group of Negi's love interests. They show up, looking to get into Tokyo-U themselves and the girls check out the Inn for housing.

After things get sorted out about Keitaro, it opens up for a trip to Negi's magical academy and then into the magic world. Granted, you'd have to come up with a new series of villains/problems. I can imagine some interest from a few villains looking for a way to reduce their losses or a key to immortality.

You could even have the Urashima's have a reputation in the magic world similar to the Giant Clan in Jade. Warriors renown to be unbeatable and unkillable, and so they're *very* highly valued as Pacito partners.

Such an adventure could easily replace the cannon problems that kept Keitaro from getting into Tokyo-U, and offer good tie-ins for Seta.

According to what we know of the official timeline Negi doesn't arrive at Mahora until during the (I believe three-year) timeskip prior to Keitaro and Naru's wedding. Love Hina's beginning should, in fact, be taking place at roughly the same time Negi's hometown is getting stoned all to hell.

Of course, the author has already stated he's not going to involve Negima in this story given that he doesn't know all that much about it, so the debate is pointless.
