Simple premise, the beginning half is told from the perspective of Nabiki's memoirs. It begins with her account of Ranma's arrival. Over time, her attitude towards him changes as she watches the highs & lows of his relationship with her little sister. She starts to slowly fall in love with him, but by the time she realizes this it's too late. Ranma and Akane are out of school, attending local college, and planning their wedding. Seeing them so happy, finally as a proper couple, she keeps her feelings to herself.

Many years pass, Ranma is now a popular martial arts film star, and Nabiki is a successful business woman. She has wealth, she has power, but she has nobody to share it with. She's been married several times, but it never lasts. She hasn't seen Ranma since the day the same disease that took her mother also took Akane. Now, the only way she sees his face is when he's either being interviewed on TV, or when watching one of his martial arts movies.

One day, by chance, they meet at a high-class charity event. The two talk about old times, share some drinks, and end up going home together. All the longing and heartache she held for years comes gushing out as they make love in her lavish penthouse. The next morning she catches him before he's about to leave. He's embarrassed that he let this happen, and that's when she tells him. That's when she confesses. She tells him how long she's harbored these feelings, and that she kept them hidden for his and Akane's sake.

The story ends a couple of years later. Family and friends attend Ranma and Nabiki's wedding at the dojo. This time the perspective is that of Akane's ghost. In order to move on she had to make sure they were happy, and she finally did. As the two say their vows she feels herself being drawn into the lifestream. Nine months later, Nabiki holds her newborn, a beautiful little girl who has Akane's eyes.

Whoever wants to tackle this one feel free to take it.

That's already the whole story there ^_^. You could just post it like that on ff.net

A LOT more substance... and you are not supposed to post outlines on FF.NET.

This could be fleshed out to probably at least a half dozen chapters just properly setting up that backstory... Because at least to me, the backstory on this would almost be as important a part of the overall plot as the story going forward.
