A 'what comes to mind' fic challenge...

Once upon a time, I was asked to read a short bit of writing and write something that was inspired by that paragraph, I read it and I wrote something, I found it to be a very interesting exercise and what's most interesting in that by writing what comes to mind from a particular passage you can almost get a small glimpse into that persons mind, in clinical terms it would be "To see the way a specific creature reactes to specific stimuli". Meh, I'm in an odd mood so, whether you think it's a good idea or just think it's stupid I'll be interested to see what comes of this. And remember the point isn't to write what something that includes this specific passage necessarily but simply to write whatever this inspires in you, if it doesn't inspire anything then it doesn't, and I have failed. Here, see what happens.

Naruto stared at them with a sort of grim realization, they didn't understand, they thought it was a gift, it wasn't.

"This Halo," Naruto started, his voice seeming to stop in the middle of his words as if he was searching for the perfect way to phrase this "this one that hangs over my head. You all think it's a gift, but it's not. Because, you see, this isn't a Halo, it's a noose. And one of these days it's going to slip down, and it's going to choke the life from me."

Stiil they stared, uncomprehendingly. Naruto thought it would be bliss to be that ignorant

"One of these days my Halo is going to fall" He finished.

"But...why?" They asked, still not understanding and not seeming to realize that that was all he had intended to say on the matter. He looked at them for a second before responding.

"Because I am not a God nor am I an Angel and yet I have a Halo, thus I am a False God, for this grievence I will pay with my life."

So, we'll see what is birthed form this, I look forward to what this inspires from all of you. And remember, don't try and find some sort of context from the passage, don't try to rationalize it, just take it as it is, and find what it brings to light within you and then just let the words flow. If nothing comes of this, then nothing has been created from nothing because this will then be nothing, if something does, then something has come from something, because then this will be worth something. If it is nothing then I am as well.
