Now, where's the fun in that? Granted, I started my days this week by having a few swallows of water and then making coffee, but the first beer was usually opened sometime during breakfast and by the time I'd actually made it to the boat, two or three had been downed and then it kept on like that.

Much like it does every year during this event.

Anyways, I'm back...

And likely still drunk...

The beers? Yes. Both before, during and after breakfast.

The joints? No, I'm more of a Prince - Highland Taste-kinda guy when it comes to smoking. I did smoke up about a pack'n a half a day as opposed to my usual half a pack, but still, only tobacco and the usual toxins, didn't smoke anything more unusual then that.

Huh... I've been able to get in all day today, and was on until 2:30 am last night.

However... Sometimes, I've had to click the link two or even three times.

Evidently theplanet had a large explosion at one of their facilities. No one was hurt, but the fire department has refused to let them power back up yet.

Lots of sites are effected, but invisionfree looks to have gone into failover.

Schlockmercenary.com for example, is down entirely.

I was offline, but am now quite happily back in the digital world.

On a new computer even, because the old one is RIP at the moment.

Two fucking harddrive crashes in a week! First the C drive, then my here's-where-I-keep-downloaded-shit-until-I've-burned-it-to-dvd drive.

Yes, I need one of those. I'm very lazy about burning stuff down. Just like with just about everything else.

Anyways, just when I had a new c-drive setup and reinstalled with all my shit'n settings, the download drive crashed. At that point, I may have left the realm of swearing and entered the physically violent realm for a moment.

As a result, old computer doesn't want to play any longer ( who knew that a wireless mouse thrown onto the motherboard could cause so much damage... ), so I had to buy a new one.

Quadcore'n shit, which'll likely take me years until I actually make full use out of. These days, World of Warcraft is the most demanding application in my collection and that is installed on my laptop, not the stationary computer. 1,5 terabyte of harddrive space, which'll likely take me only a couple of months before I am making full use out of it.

Good news however, is that no stories were lost in the process. I've gotten much better at backing stuff up and now copy stuff from my harddrive to USB memory on a somewhat regular basis and managed to restore the stories most recently on from my C drive before I attempted a bit of harddrive freesbee throwing.

Anyways, back and starting to catch up on my backlog of PM's. Just in time too, since it seems that my inbox got full sometime yesterday.
