Just ignore him, DKG. Either they don't like the idea or they want to discuss something else; either way, there's nothing to be gained by arguing with them. And don't worry, I didn't kill the bunny, I just <s>put it in the back burner</s> tranqued it for awhile.
It's probably for the best anyway as I haven't played the second game yet so I'm not as familiar with Mir's new characterization as I'd like to be.
I like it for the awesome factor, but I'm not sure how it would flow in a story.
Shiki's Mystic Eyes of Death Perception are unique to him. (IIRC, only one person per world can have them.) Arcueid's Mystic Eyes of Enchantment are vampire-specific.
I think that Shinji might have a weak version of the Eyes of Purity (maybe all Eva pilots/candidates have them and the Nanaya clan had them as well). Eyes of Purity allow the user to see supernatural or hidden things. It could explain Shinji seeing that apparition of Rei at the start of the series, and would also let him distinguish supernatural beings (angels, demons, hybrids) from normal humans.
Of course, since none of the other Eva pilots have been trained to use their eyes, they wouldn't realize this, only Shinji, thanks to Arcueid and Shiki, would understand what he is seeing.
Shinji with Nanaya training and Eyes of Purity would be bad-ass even if he's completely normal otherwise. The Nanayas were baseline humans and yet could take on demons.
Crimson Moon Arc
might be able to solo an Angel, but the Crimson Moon is practically an Angel itself, on par with Adam and Lilith. And of course, different Angels have totally different levels/kinds of power.
