I wish the had made the American Live Action NGE that they were showcasing several years ago...

I still have a bunch of the still sketches from that project I downloaded back then. Almost all were prefixed WETA Project...

This though, if real, looks to have little to do with Evangelion as we know it. As such, doubt I would want to bother seeing it.

You know, a Live Action prequel of EVA set during the immediate world war after Second Impact would be pretty cool.

This, I'm more inclined to believe is stuff inspired by Evangelion rather than actually Evangelion.

That said, dat cross explosion was fucking choice.

The problem, is it is not really the Neon Genesis Evangelion story... except as possible as kids, no Shinji, Asuka, Rei, Maya, and Ritsuko and Misato and Kaji would be in college or interning, depending exactly when this occured. Even the American remake that I referenced as abandoned, as changed as it was, would be closer.

If it is true to the anime, then we know the rough history of events up to series start due to the summary episode narrated by Fuyutski.

of course this is just visually "inspired"(more like "plagiarized") and not a official live movie.

@ankokudaishogun

Am I correct in the belief that your avater is the main character from the old Automan detective/sci fi show?

So, other than SEELE and what looked like a glimpse of Lilith, how is this an EVA live action movie? Because last I checked, NERV didn't have Jesus, on the cross, locked in the closet next to the Reiquarium.

... You never know, they just might have. Gendo had plans withing plans within riddles withing plots within smokescreens within his pants.

Gendo is a Magnificent Bastard (Trademarked, copyright pending).

You never know.

The guy in the end looks like he has a fake beards on. You can tell by the fact that it is pinching his face.

Also did anyone else notes that something was wrong when the temple exploded. The pieces flying away doesn't really change size as it was getting closer to the man. It looks like it was from a small model close up than from a big building faraway.

"In God We Trust" is a collaboration between childhood friends Alex Gingell, Dan Haigh, Bastiaan Koch, and Alex Westaway. Together they conceived, produced, handled practical FX, directed and appeared in "In God We Trust". In post-production they shared the duties of editing, sound design, musical scoring and creating a host of extensive 2D and 3D visual effects for the piece. This ambitious project was created for the meager sum of ú1200.

"In God We Trust" serves as a demonstration piece designed to attract the attention of Film Studios and potential investors utilising a "Look what we have created with no resources, imagine what we could do with a reasonable budget" approach.

"In God We Trust" imagine a near future in which society is on the brink of collapse due to the Earth's deteriorating environment. Multinational corporations and international governments have merged to form a small number of elite corporate power groups, each vying for ultimate power and control over the remaining populace.

The story revolves around a momentous discovery made by high-ranking research scientist Piotr Drabik. Employed by a corporate entity known only as "ORTUS", Drabik believes that his research has enabled him to make direct contact with God. Chilling revelations are uncovered as Drabik discovers the true nature of God's will.

As rumours spread, shady elements within ORTUS orchestrate Drabik's abduction in an attempt to subvert the end of days and realise their own nefarious ambitions. All the while, the highest echelons of the church are acutely aware of God's true will.

Having kept their best defence against armageddon alive for centuries they prepare to fight once again. Caught in the middle of the web, Drabik must find the strength to confront his fears and ultimately decide the fate of us all.

The only question which remains is whether humanity's future involves salvation or annihilation..

Nothing to do with EVA, just... "visually influenced" by it.
