HOW ABOUT THAT NEW CHAPTER
In the original Norse mythology, Skuld is also an active-duty Valkyrie. That doesn't seem to match up with this story - unless they need a demolitions expert.

HOW ABOUT THAT NEW CHAPTER

If we also go by the original Norse canon then Urd, Bell and Skuld should be some of the foremost "Divine Beings" as they reprise the mufti-denominational role of the fates. You know, the old hags that know when a person is born, how long they will live and when/how they will die... and not just 1st/2nd Class Non-War Commissioned Goddesses "in the system".
But this is a light hearted (if given lots of feels) manga, in which Fujishima finally decided to start end game after 20-something years (or 3-4 in universe). Well here's to hoping the Status eventually is NOT Quo and that Fujishima did NOT take a page of the Oh! Great book of "this looks pretty/awesome/sexy yet is completely convoluted and senseless... but it sells".

No, that would be the Greek Fates, not the Norns. While the Norns were involved with the Fate of all things, there were thousands of them, each of whom ruled the fate of various individuals (And some of them weren't very nice, hence why some people seem to be born unlucky). The giantesses Urdr, Verdandi and Skuld were the Norns of the World Tree Yggdrasil (Which is probably where their sysadmin jobs in OMG canon came from).

It should be noted that in the original myths, there wasn't much camaraderie between Urdr and Verthandi. They didn't quite hate each other, but they avoided their mutual presence whenever possible, and while they were outwardly nice to each other, it was largely appearance.
Just pointing this out, because in case some of you forgot, Urd IS half demon, and has implied in the past that she is jealous and envious of Belldandy for being a 'pure' Goddess and Daddy's favorite. There's a distinct chance that all the perceived bro-ness towards Keiichi was rather Urd's demon side subconsciously wanting to ruin both's lives as much as possible through making them grow intimate - and considering the whole forbidden thing, had she SUCCEEDED, Keiichi would've paid a price just as heavy as Belldandy, since Heaven didn't quite show itself to be reasonable - just look at Velspar and what happened to him simply because he loved Bell too much...
Incidentally, Urdr is famous for being rather malevolent among the three chief Norns. She's the only one who actively gets nasty if slighted - the other two tend to let it slide, though that's more due to perceived superiority than niceness. Norse deities and such other creatures tend to be an arrogant lot.
