An Artemis Fow/HP/Fullmetal Alchemist x-over

#1
This would probably be a very long story (if someone is interested enough that is).

An Artemis Fowl and Harry Potter x-over in the beginning and later becomes Edward Elric a part in this story (whether anime or manga based, while the end of the anime a very good opportunity is to make him end up with AF and HP)

It does not have to follow the books (HP or AF), but it can use them of course as a fondation or more.

I've some things planned out and if anyone has any interest in this (and be it only out of curiosity) I'll gladly write it down.

(I love to make up x-overs between more than 2 worlds and find a reason to make this work. I still have ideas for a Shaman King/Yu-Gi-Oh!/Fullmetal Alchemist x-over, a Dresden Files/Harry Potter/Buffy the vampire slayer/Charmed/FMA x-over as well as an Artemis Fowl/Harry Potter/Yu-Gi-Oh! x-over and two x-overs that are pretty much not existent as far as I know: a Yu-Gi-Oh!/Hikaru no Go Oneshot (or more) and aNarut/Drangonball(Z/GT) x-over) (If you have any questions, ask them. ;)

I could see crossing HP with Artemis Fowl, or HP with Full Metal Alchemist. Artemis Fowl/FMA seems impossible and would require crack or some amazing writing gymnastics.

But all three of them?

I'm tempted to say "wtf", but you say you've already mapped out some ideas, so let's hear them.

Who knows, maybe it'll actually be possible? :p

The first thing to do is to explain how the AF-verse and the HP-verse can be 'the same'
The AF faeries hide from both, wizards and muggle alike, but stay in contact with the goblins(HP) (gold and mining...Grigotts is partly underground!) and some special people, but mostly are both, the wizarding and the muggle world ignorant of their existence.

(HP shouldn't be around 1991, but more like 2001 or 2006, because of the technology)

Magic: All beings had had one time magic, humans, dwarfs, demons etc. But where nearly all humans lost their magical talent over the course of time, some kept it and it began to change (todayÆs wizards). It is limited and without an outside medium with a magical core (wand, stuff, etc.) very hard to control and very, very exhausting.

Some magical creature today (HP) are descendants/mutations from the original faeries(AF).

It could start in HP book 2 (so no problem about Artemis trying (and probably succeeding) in stealing the philosopher stone) and after AF book 1.

Why did Artemis never have a problem with accidentally (sp?) magic and how can one explain why he comes to Hogwarts (or at least his letter) after he turned eleven (he should be about 11 1/2 after book 1) and should he be in the same age group as Harry and his friends?

Explanation: The time field had more effect than just stopping the time around Fowl manner. The air was full of magic and while it doesn't really affect adults in any way, a still growing child with the (in book five mentioned) "magic" parts in his/her brain still not developed can be affected if there aren't large crowds to divide the effect and if it is before the age 10~12. (that explains why Hogwarts and magical education at all starts at the age of 11, because the magical part must be far enough developed).

So the faeries gave Artemis Fowl on accident the potential to become a wizard.
The wizards think Artemis is a late bloomer and accept it as that.

He may have always an attitude for healing and the mind arts as well as languages (because his magic is far more like the faerie magic) and will have some problems (not that these couldn't be taken care of with enough concentration, focus and training) in "normal" magic classes. (Could be an interesting part of the story)

As I already mentioned it could start in year two and Artemis either becomes a first year or he just learns enough to become a second year already.

Artemis will either be a Ravenclaw or a Slytherin, with the highest chances to become a Slytherin. Because his character doesn't make Gryffindor or Hufflepuff a possibility until far later into the AF series.

The focus of the story can be on Artemis or it can change between Artemis and Harry (and later Edward), I would prefer to go with the Artemis Fowl books and change between different characters with special focus on someone, that would work the best here I guess.

If Artemis and Harry become friends? Or Artemis and Draco or somebody else entirely? (maybe Luna (she is one of the people who still believe in the "underground fearies, she just calls them something else and believes in more than just them) or Hermione?)

Soo, does anyone wants to know more?

(I have some more things planned, but only if someone is interested do I write them down here^^)

Why does every one seem to want to cross HP with EVERYTHING!
AF and FMA would cross easily enough, especially if you went with movie canon, which I'm aware most of you don't like, but what the hell. Just go with Gate ex-machina. IE instead of coming out in the 40's, they timeslide into the 21st century. As for how they survive? They bunker down in a library and absorb info like the brain sponges they are.

Of course, I have no idea what the plot would be. Resurgence of the illuminati?
