Anakin Skywalker, Jed'aii

The comics have started going into how the Jedi Order came into existence, and how the original group, the Jed'aii, sought balance between Light and Dark sides.

So, are there any fics where Anakin gets trained as a Jed'aii more than a Jedi?

Don't think so as I don't think the idea of the Je'Daii has really spread much.
Also, it probably says something about me that when I first saw this thread I thought, Hell yes Anakin Solo with Je'Daii training.

Thought I should update this and mention I found one where Anakin is a self-trained Je'Daii.

Star Wars Episode 1: A Retelling

Good so far.

Are there other fics where Anakin uses both Light and Dark sides of the Force, without perhaps being a Je'Daii? Not like becoming a Sith, but at the same time?

I remember one vaguely, but it's been a while and I can't remember the title.

*got curious about the comics, read them. is shocked* ... Good Lord. By the Force. These people... These people have COMMON SENSE!

AH! IN YOUR FACE, JEDI COUNCIL! THE GREYS WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG!

Of course they were. Liam Neeson played a grey.

Well of course the Greys were right, in fact had the Jedi Council from the End of the Republic shown up on ancient Tython they all would have been banished to Ashla until they realized they were dimwits!

Although, these masters also have selective stupidity, it seems. A man who doesn't know light from dark, confused and extremely susceptible to external influences, right now, so powerful in the force that his mere presence upsets your planet, and you banish him to a moon in the sole company of the only one of you guys who has ever willingly given himself to the Dark Side.

... Yeah, I can see that going weeeeeell.

Outside Context Problems are outside context after all.
Reading more. *facepalm* Okay. While they may be more willing to look for balance, these Je'Daii masters have the same fear of the dark side as their successors. They've ignored not one, but two visions of the force, even if past masters told them not to.

In fairness, of the two people who witnessed the original force vision one immediately and emphatically denied that it had ever happened out of fear and the other, Daegon L'oK, went batshit insane and tried to start a war because of it. That vision also happened immediately following a terrible system wide war that was one of the worst in living memory. The treatment of Xesh was foolish I'll admit but again, he's not something they'd ever had any experience with and they weren't willing to go outside of established tradition

As far as fear of the Dark Side I'm not sure how much or little there is, primarily because the whole Dark Side of the Force based genetic manipulation is so accepted. One of the protagonists made a Winged-Rancor as a journeyman project for heaven's sake.

I am somewhat disappointed we haven't seen more negative treatment of overly light sided Je'daii besides a couple throw away lines, but I expect we would have if the series A) was going to be allowed to last (which it won't as Disney has bought the franchise) and B) if the obscenely powerful empire of Dark Side OD'ed Rakatan wasn't being set up as a primary antagonist

ah old jedi stupidity never ceases to amuse. Hope Luke fixed that up

In regards to the OP there IS now a fic where Anakin Skywalker is a Jedaii, also he's somehow training Ahsoka Tano as such when he's 10 and she's ...6? I saw it a while ago but I can't find it now. It... was sorta not very good though. The first chapter had them operating an independent freighter trying to break the blockade of Naboo in episode I.

EDIT: also looking at this thread and the Je'daii again I'm struck by the timescales involved. The Je'daii existed for 10,000 years using both the Light Side and Dark Side in harmony and balance, and then after the Force Wars and the fall of the order it was approximately another 14,000 years before the Second Great Schism over using the Dark Side really broke the Order into Jedi and Sith. Of the 35,000 year time scale we've got on the Star Wars Galaxy, the VAST majority had Balance within the Force rather than the whole Sith/Jedi dichotomy.

Pretty sure you're talking about the fic that was linked earlier in the thread, dude.
