Anime Addventure Down

Pusakuronu, I also would love to see Dungeon Keeper Ami over on Sufficient Velocity. It would make having discussions about it so much easier compared to how AA handles things. And I don't think anything you've written in it would violate the rules, either.

AA isn't THAT bad once you know the secret, there's a bunch of buttons in the top tight of the 'window' that each post is i, one of them shows all daughter posts

Yeah, but right now it's doing an Internal Server Error.

Sure, but if/when it comes back up he should now be able to do it.

Really the tree based method that AA uses is actually superior to the linear style used just about anywhere else, once people understand how it works. It's a bit like making every chapter a new thread (or whatever) over on reddit.

Okay everyone, just in case anyone hasn't heard yet, it looks like SV is going to be where this is going to be continued. All the existing chapters have been posted already.

Do you mean Valor Phoenix?

They used to have home pages long time back...but IIRC, they did not have their AA stuff there. They are as far as I know Internet Archive pages now. I have the one for Red Priest, but will not place it in this forum...

Valor Phoenix also has a FF.NET page at https://www.fanfiction.net/u/349772/ .

Right, Valor. Sorry, I always get his name wrong for some reasons.

Can you PM those pages if you don't want to post them in the open, please ?

I know there used to be a static copy (described as 'courtesy of Bryan Taylor'), though that also seems to be dead. Did anyone save it before then?

I'm not going to hold my breath waiting on it to ever pop back up.

Well unless someone uses that backup that's being passed around in order to set up a mirror
So far, e-mailing (as instructed) the person who's supposed to be sending them out has not resulted in the file being passed to me, so I'm not sure how many people have it.

I had to wait a day or two to get it, it takes a little bit of time.

I asked in July.  Around the 22nd or 23rd, I think.

FYI, as some may or may not be aware, a writer on FanFictionNET going by the name TutCat is posting Anime Addventure threads onto FF.NET...

I cannot say I really agree much with the idea. Besides stating the obvious that it is exceedingly doubtful that permission was asked for when posting that content, there are several basic reasons for not doing it. AA threads really do not fit well with the FF.NET site. And the content rules for AA and FF are far too different for most threads to be acceptable. Additionally, posting it the way it is being done does not really give all the branches of the thread, but only the desired one.

The 22nd, yeah, and according to my files, I e-mailed you a WeTransfer download link that same day.

I'll include you in the next batch, I suppose.

Also, for those wondering how many people have the backup by now, some seventy people or so.

How do i browse through this thing? There are 266000 files to dig through, I'm sure the sql has something to do with it, but I have no idea how to use it.

Best way is to know the id of the story start.

Like these: https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/regarding-the-anime-addventure.395597/page-4#post-22920705

Then find the corresponding file and open that in your browser. The links should work fine from there.

Edit: Or this CSV file, think Excel/Google Sheets, provided by DenshiNoYousei.
