The Dr. Stone manga is supposed to wrap up in the March 7 issue of Shonen Jump

The Demon Girl Next Door Season 2 starts airing on April 7. This one I may wait on a little while for the dub, as the English VA was more than passable.

I was just coming to post that myself! A list so far. Some of it is stuff I believe CR had the subbed version already but not the English dub.

I saw previews for that and not too interested. On the other hand, one I'm interested in seeing is one that came out last season, about a Genius Prince but not aware of anyone streaming it that I have access for.

Though I'm hoping for both Realist Hero and Arifureta to be continued with more seasons.

Konosuba season 3 announced

Also going to get an anime adaptation of the Megumin prequel novels.

If I'm going to be honest, I legitimately don't understand the anime industry metrics anymore. I get the impression Konosuba has done blockbuster numbers, but then they go two or three years between seasons or a movie. Same with other series like Attack on Titan.

Could be contractual issues with the VA's? Could be one or two of them were doing longer running series, so things just never lined up properly?

That's possible? In all honestly, I figured voice acting was a lot more open to overlapping contracts compared to live-action, since you're nowhere near as restricted to having to show up on site at specific times and with other actors and actresses (and some VAs can record from remotely. At least in English-speaking animation, I know Tara Strong has her own studio built in her house).

I'm honestly not sure. I just know I've seen a few seasons where the same VA is voicing characters in multiple shows.

Could also be the animation studio was contracted for other shows.

Berserk is going to continue under Kentarou Miura's assistants.

Guts has fought through endless amounts of demons, now he's even fighting through death of the mangaka.

While I am glad that Berserk will be continuing, I just hope that there isn't going to be such a huge waiting period between the chapters.

Wait, so Crunchyroll is now acting as a financier in the anime business? A Trigun remake, according to Variety:
Sony Pictures’ Crunchyroll anime streaming service has ordered a remake of the anime series “Trigun,” based on a popular manga series by Yasuhiro Nightow.

“Trigun Stampede” will be produced in Japan by animation studio Orange and Toho. Details about the series are set to be unveiled July 2 during Anime Expo 2022 in downtown Los Angeles.
