Evangelion Another idea I had...

Has anyone considered a fic where Shinji is actually *possessed* by some sort of supernatural entity? Something far, far more sinister than an Angel, which comes out whenever Shinji undergoes extreme emotional duress?

I have such an idea in mind. It came to me while playing Star Ocean 2 and witnessing Indalecio, the final boss, activate his 'Time of Truth' move...

It could be... interesting, to say the least. Keep in mind what I'm thinking about is very different from the usual berserk Shinji. I'm talking about a cold, calculating and downright cruel entity - something kind of like Dizzy's black wing Necro in Guilty Gear X, which hates everything and has no qualms about causing extensive collateral damage.

I think Random1377 did something like that in one of his stories, Aoi, that's what it was called. Except in his the 'entity' tried to rape Mistao and Asuka and Misato was forced to kill 'it' with her gun, the story is about everyone dealing with the fact that Shinji's dead. Speaking of Random he really needs to get on here too, Hawk I know you've pre-read a bunch of his stuff, you should tell him to join up, I talk with him over AIM a lot so if you want I can do it instead, though I'm not sure how much time he'd have to be on since he just went back to college to get his English degree.

I read Aoi, and God damn, that was one depressing ending. But I was thinking more along the lines of something that remained hidden until enough stress built up. A dark side of sorts. Random1377 had the right concept, except that in my intentions, the Other doesn't outright take Shinji over.

But yeah, I agree. Random1377 would be a welcome addition.

BTW, Israfel... if you have time and don't mind, I'd appreciate if you read my Naruto fic at FF.net and told me how you think it is. I'm SURE that there's probably something I mucked up that I'm missing, and your analytical eye would probably help me become better...

Hmm, yah that sounds good, I'd definitely read it if you did it. And sure I'd be happy to check over your Naruto fic, believe me you'll never find me credited anywhere but I've been the 'unnoficial beta' for many stories, not to mention I'm just good at critiquing since I've read so many stories that I've gained an almost encycloepedic knowledge on this sort of stuff. Be warned I'm a fairly harsh critic. I should be able to read it sometime before the week let's out, would you rather I post my response, PM it to you, or do you want to meet on AIM?

Post it here. I don't mind public criticizing, on the contrary, I find it stimulating. And as long as it's not an outright flame, I welcome harsh criticism.

Just be warned, I have several OCs running around, and while only a handful of them are major players, you might find this irritating.
