Really... damn. Was it natural causes, or death, or suicide?

Ditto. Wonder how many of those originals are left.

He had quite a number of stories I enjoyed as some of the earliest fan fiction I read. This was back when the bulk of fan fiction was not really on FanFiction.NET.

In watching Anime, Ranma was not my first, or even 3rd big anime (Tenchi, Slayers, El Hazard, Saber Marionette were watched all before I watched Ranma)... but Ranma and Tenchi Muyo were tied as the first two series I started reading fan fiction for.

'A Tale of Two Wallets' was first (at that time it was still only about 1/2 finished), but others of his works joined the list fast... another favorite of mine was 'Fifth Fiancee'.

damn... RIP Jim. I enjoyed a lot of his work back in the day, one of the classic authors in the Ranma fandom.

Did he ever finish one of his stories?
Technically, yes.

- Fifth Fiancee was intended as a one shot, and he let another author continue it, whom stalled a few chapters into the poject.

- Out From The Ashes was also a one shot.

- Jedi Kasumi had the last actually published arc completed... while there may have been more to the saga, it ended with a completed arc.

- A Tale of Two Sex Kittens and Pangea were both complete side arcs to A Tale of Two Wallets.

- Honeymoon 1/2 was a completed side arc to Nabiki 1/2

I do not know what he had on his group, since I was never a member.

He had some new stories in his group, one of which had 81 chapters I think. I have downloaded everything although I've never gotten very far in his stories.

I don't really like them all that much. The OCs are annoying and so are the regular cast usually too.

Metroanime's still active. Unfortunately.

Dunno about the others.

I actually like Metroanime's works, when he avoids the huge crossovers and letting other authers (*cough* Skysaber *cough*) write bits in his stories. He does have some interesting ideas, from time to time.

Of course, since it's been a while since I last read any of his stuff, this may be nostalgia filter kicking in.

Meh, I liked some of the stories Metroanime did, and not other stories. Not sure why he got painted as some evil villian of several fandoms, but whatever.

Skysaber, I liked a few of his older stories, but he kind of went off the deep end for awhile...
