Ranma ½ Are there any fics where Ranma is older?

Kinda like the 'Older' fic where Nabiki is a good 20 years older than Ranma... only in reverse. I'm curious, is all... with such a good fic coming from the original idea, I'd be surprised if no one tried the 'reverse side'...

That's kinda like cradle robbing...

Funny thing, I don't MIND stories where the woman is older, you get such pairings as Shinji and Misato/Ritsuko/Maya. *DROOL*

Or even better, Negi and any of his students, or perhaps Shizuna-sensei...

Sorry, my keyboard just shorted out from my bleeding nose...

But going the other way... Just cuts no ice with me...

Maybe because I have a kid sister.

Hell, even my wife is a bit older than I am.

Haven't seen a story like that though... Although I don't routinely go through the Ranma section of FF.net, unless I hear about a particularly good story.

Isn't Shizuna-sensei interested in Takahata, anyway? It might be fanon, though. I do know she seems to have a weakness for Negi, like basically every other woman in Mahora, for that matter.

From Volume nine, one would think so...

But that won't stop people from writing about it tho'

Not that I know of anyway.

...

At least not any where he's physically older. There's plenty of timewarpstuff where he's mentally older, but physically the same age ( or younger, for the Nabiki/Kasumi pairings ). But I don't recall ever reading one where Ranma is older then the girl(s) he's into.

Lighthawkdemon1's Negima story was heading towards a Negi/Shizuna pairing and in the end of the last chapter that's out right now she was asking him out, but sadly he hasn't updated in forever.

Oh, that fic. Eh, I'd rather see a Negi/Chachamaru pairing simply out of the sheer novelty of the idea. After all, Chachamaru is a mechanical being with human emotions, which is... unusual as a love interest. Multi's body is fundamentally organic in To Heart, and the same goes for Nuku Nuku. Chachamaru, on the other hand, is visibly artificial, so one can't just convince oneself she's human - her inhuman nature is made apparent by her looks.

About the only case like Chachamaru I can think of would be Ifurita, whose inhuman nature is made apparent by her absurd power, but... looks-wise, Ifuria appears just odd, not outright nonhuman. *shrug* Am I even making sense?

Yah, I mean it is pretty obvious considering you can see the joints on her knees, elbows, fingers, toes, neck, ears, and any number of other places. Not to mention jetpacks and whatnot spinging out at random from her body.

And yet, Chi-U is the only one who seems to notice, just like she's the only one who's aware of Sayo's presence at first. XD

Cromarti High School anyone? If anyone's seen that. I think it's just that most of the other girls are just so used to the odds things happening around their class that they don't even notice anymore, or at least that's how it's explained in the manga.

I'd say that having a ROBOT as classmate is weirder than the norm. I mean, Mahora actually looks pretty normal - and if unusual things are commonplace, why was Asuna so surprised at Negi using magic? There are AT LEAST four other magic-users in the class (Mana, Zazie, Evangeline and Konoka), two top-class martial artists (Setsuna and Kuu Fei) and a cosplay camwhore (Chi-U)... you'd think a magic kid would be nothing new.

The reactions are't consistent. Just my $0.02.

Yah but you also have to remember that none of the magic users were 'publicly' known and the girls didn't really know how good Setsuna and Kuu Fei were till later, and Chi-U being a net idol was a secret as well.

How about Sayo, then? I mean, a girl from 1940 - you'd think the fact she's still in the registry would at least make people suspicious.

Besides, Chachamaru is proof enough that they should be desensitized to weirdness. How is magic any weirder than a robot schoolgirl? You'd have to be blind as a bat to miss it, in which case you should be blind enough to not see Negi use magic either.

Plus, there's Kaede, who is *known* to be a ninja. She's referred to as 'kunoichi' by Yue at one point, before Negi finds out it's actually true.

Either way, the reactions do not match.

Yah but all that was after Negi arrived since before then people thought that Sayo was just a typo on the grade sheet. But despite this I do agree with you, a lot of the girls are a bit too oblivious or just don't care.

If it were just the birthdate, it'd be one thing. But notice how Sayo is wearing a pre-WWII school uniform. All in all, the presence of a class 1940, old-skool-dressed girl in the registr should've aroused suspicion. Especially since they had 50 years to fix the typo. <_<

Yah, but then again everyone at the school (students and administration alike) is kinda deficient about those sorta things, they can make time machines but basic feats of logic seem to escape them.

Unless you're a Baka Ranger.

Anyway, back on topic. :p

I've tried two fics with an older Ranma, one where's his 18 in the "wonderful" AU Make Room for Daddy and another where's he's a grown up in the sort of abandoned Patlabor fusion Super Giant Robot Carnival

They're probably not the sort of thing you had in mind though.
