Are you leaving TFF?

First off, I want to state that I like this forum. It's given me a lot of fun and enjoyment and I want to see it continue that way.

However, having said that, I can't help but notice the cries of mutiny coming from different members. In the past 3 weeks, I've seen (and joined) 2 other "fanfiction" forums. This has got me thinking - whats happening here, in TFF? Do we really NEED to abandon ship?

Cause I don't want to.

But then, I start looking around the other areas of the forum that I don't frequent. Yes, there seems to be some kind of demand for moderators, but has it gotten THAT bad? (I wouldn't know ) And then I see something in "The suggestion box" that has me really worried.

Some idiot appears to have "complained" against us to invisionfree. WHAT THE HECK ?!?! We're ... not some underground "terrorist" organization, are we? Cause, if we are, I didn't get the memo.

Another thing that has me worried, is that we're closed for new members. I can understand wanting to keep banned morons out, ... but, I don't like the idea of preventing new blood from coming in. Especially since, well, I started writing SOME kind of fanfiction after lurking around here for some time.

I *could* post links to the other forums I just mentioned, but, as I mentioned, I'd rather not leave. What's your take on the situation folks? Do you plan to leave TFF in the future? If so, where will you go?

I don't really think joining another forum while still being on this one is in any way shape or form "mutiny". If so, I can guarantee you everyone on this forum is guilty of it. Wanting moderators here is also not "mutiny".

Secondly, nick is an idiot who doesn't deserve to live. He reported us hoping he would become admin of TFF or- failing that- get the forum deleted. That in no way makes us an underground terrorist cell.

Thirdly, Hawk DID in fact close registration to keep people he banned out. A lot of people are upset about this, but the only one who has the power to change it is Hawk, and he's not around.

Regardless of all this, TFF is still the most awesome board ever.

What is this all about? The first thing I heard about any trouble was somebody saying at another forum that TFF had received a ToS breach warning from the admins or something. Question is... How would we know, when Hawk is the admin and he never comes on anymore?

the funds have been put to excellent use my good man.

that $20K was able to ensure that i could purchase enough stocks of badly needed items that those that know me well enough know i have been running low on here. and it also allowed me to purchase a few of the more frowned upon hydra-70 rockets. specifically the WP ones and some flechettes added in made of magnesium.

There is no mutiny. It's just a bunch of whiners whining about how much better this perfectly fine forum should be, and how they're totally going to fucking leave if their unreasonable demands aren't met.

They won't. And even if they do, nothing of value will be lost. And the forum won't 'die' either way. It's as simple as that.
