Actually the only found out about the gigai after they got their mits on it. Weird eye dude was examining it with his weird eye as I recall. You know, the guy the chick stabbed when Jidanbou broke into the science division thanks to a Quincy several chapters back.

Looks like I was half-right. Ugly bald guy discovered her on Kanonji's show but the sciency guys assumed it was one of their own gigai (made by someone called Kyokuchou apparently) until they examined it. Details, details. ^_^

Really? Huh, I could have sworn it was the menos incident. I definitely recall Byakuya making mention of it at least, though I suppose that might have been a passing reference.

It was a passing reference here.

EDIT: Apparently, the show was on July 17th, the menos incident was on the 18th and the shinigami arrived on the 19th. So the events were all quite close together.

Zouken? This isn't fate Stay/Night.

Wait. Chad is captured by Soul Society, they might kill him, and Ichigo just accepts training from them? Even if he's kept in the dark that's not the type of risk you take when you're trying to train an elite unit for war.

Haven't got a clue what you're talking about, zb.
he's talking about the rewrite of part 1 that we've been talking about for a while.
A Zouken randomly appears in the description around where it describes Ichigo being one of three non-failures.

Indeed. I actually just checked over the rewrite and Zouken really does come out of nowhere. Was he meant to be Ishida Souken?

Otherwise, god knows why you'd add another character if you're doing a Bleach rewrite.

Ended up typing this out of boredom while reinstalling windows on a new Pc. . Didn't bother trying to make it make sense. Nor sepll checked.

I'd argue that it would be better to remove the idea of Urahara having a hogyoku altogether and make it so that Aizen had one that was sealed by Urahara during the events leading to his exile. Urahara and Tessai manage to stabilize the hollowfied captains using unique kido, and Urahara's experimental gigai which pushes their hollows into a temporary dormancy while Aizen goes off frames Urahara.

Flash Forward a hundred years, Isshin is hiding in an experimental gigai as well, though his is designed to mask and absorb the spiritual power his kids generate. He bailed on squad zero after using his Final Getsuga in a confrontation with several Vasto Lords that assaulted him as he was carrying a missive from the soul king's realm to SS. The attack manages to kill 2 of them but the teary one with wings regenerates and retreats. Severely wounded, Isshin gets found in dangai by Yoruichi (who was visiting Kukkaku for booze and partying) who takes him to Urahara's to get healed. While recovering in the human realm he falls for a human woman and starts a family.

Coincidently, the attack on Isshin ends up being how Aizen finds out about the King's Key, Vasto Lord Ulquiorra relays data on the method Squad 0 uses to reach the King's Realm.Which involves using the King's Key (which is actually a one time use 'attunement' kido) in a a specific location in Dangai. Yamamoto knows the kido and has the strength needed to perform it. Aizen can't get the kido from Yamamoto, but knowing where the entrance is, plans to brute force the entrance. Vy filling the hogyoku with thousands of powerful soul from every type of spiritual being, Aizen plans to break down the King's Door. He's already collected most of the shinigami souls he needs, has access to more than enough hollow souls thanks to how Menos work, and just needs a ton of high power human souls to break the door open.

Which leads to Ichigo. Who is pivotal to Aizen's plan because he's the son of someone already attuned to the King's realm. Aizen plots to use Ichigo's soul as the tip of the spiritual battering ram and to do that, he needs Ichigo to get stronger. The incident with Ichigo's mother is used as a staging point for Ichigo's hollowification. Grand Fisher doesn't survive this encounter, only Aizen and Ulquiorra (not yet an Arrancar) are present when Ichigo's darker side consumes it. Ulquiorra forcibly subdues Ichigo and Aizen seals the hollow away for later.

Rukia's intro goes as normal. Her loss of power isn't due to a gigai but is the result of the seal on Ichigo being transferred to her when he takes her power. The hollow remains dormant but slowly starts to wake.

Aizen's plans go awry when Ichigo's power bleeds off and causes others to develop powers of their own. Each person develops a power related to Ichigo's. This includes Orihime.

SS representative sees Rukia and Ichigo on TV and reports a breach in secrecy. Rukia gets ordered to explain the situation while Aizen is forced to speed up his plans to keep SS from finding out about Ichigo's origin and hollow. This includes the central 46 slaughter and an order to have both Rukia brought in as a prisoner for exposing shinigami to the public.

Byakuya and Renji sent. Ichigo gets defeated and loses the power Rukia gave him. Urahara offers to help Ichigo get his powers back. Things go like canon from there except instead of execution, Rukia is unjustly ordered to the Maggot's nest. Ichigo and crew rescue her using a prison breakout as a diversion. Luckily most of the people imprisoned are severely weakened and unable to put up much of a resistance against those who have to recapture them.

Ichigo fights Kenpachi, goes as canon. Ichigo fights Byakuya, diverges from canon in that the hollow awakens and Ichigo starts to show traits of the form he fought the vaizard in. Ichigo regains control and rips off the mask when he notices that he has a tail.

Aizen reveals himself blatantly in order to gain SS's complete focus and hide some of his more subtle plots that are in play. It works for the most part but Mayuri sends Nemu and a few nameless squad members to the real world under the pretense of setting up lines of communication and developing a better warning system.

This leads to Mayuri reestablishing contact with Urahara via Nemu being a near unkillable swiss-army soul and having a 2 way radio function. Which also leads to further derailing of Aizen's plan because Mayuri noticed Ichigo's transformation against Byakuya and Mayuri is curious. Mayuri is also an amoral genius who is not above taking advantage of when people are unconscious to do some... light full body and power scanning.

Unohana also noticed Ichigo healing very fast and his power fluctuating to that of a hollow's briefly while unconscious during treatment. She says nothing to anyone about it but takes notes. Private notes that go in her records which no one has the balls to touch. She also made sure Mayuri's scanning remained 'light' by walking in on him before he could endanger her patient.

First Karakura invasion happens. Nemu stays out of combat but watches every fight. Upon seeing Ulquiorra (arrancarized), Ichigo's hollow immediately emerges. Both Urahara and Mayuri take notice of Ichigo's hollow, which develops more than just a tail. Yammy makes the mistake of getting between Ichigo and Ulquiorra and ends up losing a hand and watching it get eaten. Ulq orders a retreat. A scared Orihime and Chad get to watch as Urahara, Tessai and Yoruichi force a raging hollow Ichigo back to normal through a mix of barrier kido and Yoruichi's punch-therapy.

Grimmjaw's attack goes the same. Ichigo luckily manages to keep the hollow from emerging fully but nearly loses it.

Vizard training. The hollow is a lot stronger. Ichigo finds out about the hollow being around before Zangetsu. Also finds out about his mothers soul. BSOD.

Eventually Zangetsu gets Ichigo's attention long enough to say some sappy shit about his mother's soul being in the best possible place given the circumstances and how she had sacrificed herself for him in the first place. Blah Blah she'd be happy to be a part of him. He's shaken but returns to the fight against his hollow.

By the time Ichigo beats his hollow, he finds himself in Hueco Mundo surrounded by the remains of many hollows. The Vaizard tried their best to hold him, then tried to kill him. His hollow gargantua'ed to HM before they could. Panicked Ichigo wanders around HM, eventually running into Nel and crew.

Meanwhile Ichigo's friends, Yoruichi, Rukia, Renji, Isshin and Nemu enter HM in search of Ichigo. A plan was made to force him into one of Urahara's special gigai that'll force him back to being a human.
Soul Society's forces are kept unaware of the Ichigo problem. Only told that they're scouting out the enemy stronghold.

Aizen takes advantage of things by sending out the privaron and a still armless Grimmjaww to stall the Karakura crew. Luppi and Yammy are sent to retrieve Ichigo.

Fights happen. Grimjaww is defeated by Yoruichi. the Privaron are dealt with by others. Nemu makes several bodies both dead and unconscious vanish somehow.

Ichigo kills Luppi by cutting till he's dead.
Yammy goes all out after getting kicked around in his 10 form.
Nel goes full adult after Ichigo is seemingly killed.
Yammy becomes a giant target and ends up finding out that he can be horribly maimed by his own overpowered ceros if someone vomits them back at him.
Ichigo awakens, seemingly healed.
Yammy eats a lance and black sword beam of death to the face and dies.

Aizen leaves Ulquiorra and Syazel behind, taking the rest of the Arrancar to Fake Karakura and sealing Hueco Mundo so they can't leave. Syazel has a device specifically keyed to Ichigo's power to weaken him for capture.
Device works. Ichigo taken to Syazel's lab.

Yoruichi and Isshin face Ulquiorra.
Orihime, Chad, Ishida fight Syazel. Stalemate due to Orihime rejecting his squicky abilities before they take effect.
Surprise attack by Grimmjow kills Syazel
Grimmjow demands healing

Aizen starts backstabbing his allies once he realizes the Hogyoku is ready. The Espada numbering and aspects of death were parts of an elaborate kido to collect their power and souls when they die. Its the reason he assumed Nel was dead since her power went to the Hogyoku while in child form. Same thing happens with Tousen.

Aizen enters first form.

HM:

Ichigo joins the fight against Ulquiorra. Upon seeing Ulquiorra in first release form, a memory of his mother's death becomes clear and Ichigo finally finds out why his hollow go nuts when Ulquiorra is around. Ichigo makes the reason clear to Isshin and Yoruichi as well.

The combination of Ichigo, Yoruichi and Isshin forces Ulquiorra to use second release. They get steamrolled. Ichigo goes nuts when he thinks Ulquiorra kills Isshin. Ichigo uses his hollow release with his mask on resulting in the berserker horned hollow form.

Ulquiorra dies content that he pushed Ichigo as far as Aizen wanted him to.
Surprise attack by Aaroniero who never got the "leaving Hueco Mundo" memo.
Aaroniero attempts to consume Ichigo and gets blasted away without being acknowledged. Berserk Ichigo brute forces the barrier Aizen put up and tears his way to Fake Karakura.
Aaroniero regenerates, gets beset on all sides by the people left in Hueco Mundo. Doesn't survive. Orihime heals people up.

Powerless Aizen appears
Urahara, Tessai, and Hachi seal Aizen
Powerless Ichigo appears

As a side note, the fullbringers turn out to be Aizen practicing the human-hollow implanting process before using it on Ichigo. Ginjo would later take advantage of this. His problem is from the loss of communication and support from SS at a critical time lead to the death of many of his friends and family, with Tsukushima being the son of one of said friends. The lack of support was accidentally caused by a mix of Shunsui having an impromptu sake spill in Ukitake's office and an experiment of Mayuri's causing a short blackout.

Fullbring Arc Revised Because I Don't See Why Not

I wouldnÆt bother changing anything before the mansion rooftop confrontation unless I was changing this arc into something completely different. So Rukia stabs Ichigo, Ichigo gets his power and splits in the sky in half just cuz.

At this point either Renji comes along by himself or Byakuya and Kenpachi appear as well. Ikkaku and Hitsugaya do not.

Orihime and Chad come racing to the big fight like before and see the groups facing off against Ginjo. Tsukishima sees them, noticing their reaction, and begins to rewrite their past even further. This dangerous ability often results in him permanently damaging his victimÆs mind but the process also prevents an opening for them to fight back. OrihimeÆs Shun Shun Rikka reacts out of self-preservation and reject the effect of TsukishimaÆs powers. Chad, seeing Ichigo back in action and Orihime rejecting herself, breaks the mind power through some impressive mental fortitude.

Subsequently, Tsukishima shits bricks because had no idea something like that was even possible. Chad and Orihime go back to IchigoÆs side, apologising for being bad guys and are kinda worried about his reaction after everything that happened. Ichigo isnÆt bothered because heÆs back in black and the whole teamÆs together.

The other Fullbringers arrive and Ginjo powers them up. Ichigo knocks them the fuck out but YukioÆs lolonoÆs them and starts boasting until Ichigo promptly punches him in his smug face. Yukio backs up and activates his chat room to keep them all separated.

Ichigo and Uryu with Ginjo and Tsukishima, Chad with Jackie, Orihime with Riruka, Renji with Moe and Rukia with Giriko. Yuki puts himself with Urahara and Isshin/Byakuya and Kenpachi because he thinks heÆs a badass.

In the first battle, Ishida advices Ichigo to swap opponents with him, something the latter really doesnÆt like since he wants to murder Tsukishima. Ishida points out he would easily be in danger having his memories altered due to his melee style (which Ishida could avoid since heÆs a ranged fighter) and his anger towards him could dull his judgements. He also mentions that he doesnÆt really like this idea since he wants to get Ginjo back for cutting off his arm but this is smarter. Ichigo goes with it and they promise each other to make their opponents pay on the otherÆs behalf.

Chad fights against Jackie so we have close combat fight between a fist user and a foot user. He probably pisses off Jackie by not attacking first since I donÆt think heÆs someone to go for the first strike against a woman. WeÆll also get to see that Chad is genuinely angry about what happened with Ichigo; he joined Xcution because he thought they could restore IchigoÆs power but they planned to steal it himself. The fact that JackieÆs fighting using IchigoÆs stolen power is just icing on the cake. They get moving and Chad shows his development with improved fight skills, a flash step equivalent and different uses of his main techniques (or new ones altogether). The aftermath is probably the same as what happened with Renji in canon i.e. no killing (despite being pissed) leading to self-sacrifice.

Orihime fights against Riruka whoÆs feeling guilty over the whole business, especially with the look of betrayal Orihime throws at her. Still, that doesnÆt stop her from fighting and she whines about her past as if that excuses her behaviour. Orihime blocks and rejects everything Riruka throws at her, including the stranger powers until the FullbringerÆs totally worn out. At which point Orihime expresses her own anger about everything that happened, though perhaps with some empathy/sympathy about RirukaÆs past, and finishes the fight by rejecting RirukaÆs Fullbring from existence.

Renji has a short fight with Moe. He shows some growth by analysing MoeÆs abilities until the kid provokes him, at which point he just one-shots the thug wannabe. And then tosses in a life lesson for good measure. Though if I wanted it to be more challenging, Moe gets a Kurosaki boost too which forces Renji to play by Jackpot Knuckles' rules as well; the strength of the hit is dependent on what he rolls.

Rukia faces off against Giriko and neither of them are physical fighters so the battle revolves around kido, ice and time manipulation. Giriko fights by stopping her attacks, reversing them or speeding himself up whilst Rukia does various attack combinations. Eventually Rukia turns him into icicles.

Regardless of which duoÆs fighting Yukio, it generally involves them steamrolling through his game dimension and breaking everything they find until YukioÆs pissing himself and fun timeÆs over.

The first battle finishes as Ginjo and Tsukishima gets murderised by their respective enemies. The protags destroys all the Fullbrings and remove the spiritual powers of the remaining Fullbringers entirely. Happy days.

Oh nice, I like everything but the bit with Moe since he's my second favorite of the Fullbrings (from a sympathetic viewpoint anyway), and thus deserves an equally brotastic fight with Renji. :sisi:

I particularly liked the bit with Orihime LOLREJECTing their powers. Bar Jackie and possibly Moe, that'd be a lovely way to end this lot for betrayal and other dick moves. All the more since it's also a lovely way for Orihime to be quite cruel.

And Yukio getting stomped is lovely. Though honestly were I to write a serious attempt at a remix of the FullBring arc, I'd actually fix him since before learning he was a little shithead he was probably my favorite of the group. Reworking most of them so while not Jackie levels of sypathetic they aren't full of shits might be a better idea.

Though at the same time making sure the canon Yukio getting what he deserves for being a little shit is equally appealing. :hmm:

Another point to fix would likely have to do with the filler feel of things, which is another point leveled at the arc that while justified I didn't particularly mind. Still might be best to tie up all the loose ends here and make sure it all ties together.

To do this, I'd actually try tying Ginjou more into the history of the characters. Remember how he initially showed up and had been asking after Isshin? Why not tie him directly to Isshin's past.

Maybe the source of Ginjo's substitute shinigami nature had in fact been Isshin all those years ago. Perhaps he was, directly or indirectly, the one who caused his powers to be lost? Use this arc to explore Isshin as well and flesh out that story a bit to help it tie much better into the overall mythos.

Another fix for a problem I didn't really realize was even there until later is how this arc would have gone much easier if Tsukishima had just stabbed Ichigo instead. The canon explanation is that Ginjou likes to play, but we could have a much more sensible one.

Perhaps Tsukishima's injection of memories with his ability also as a sideeffect has an overwhelmingly negative effect on the overall advancement of newly awakened Fullbring, maybe to the degree that it slows or outright keeps the user from growing the power to full maturity. So they needed Ichigo to develop fast without using Tsukishima's power on him. Since the entire crux of their plan was to have Ichigo mature the Fullbring to take it and increase their powers, this is a very sensible reason for why they had to be so indirect about it. :sisi:

@Omega: Problem with Moe getting a brotastic fight is that he's not very good at fighting. It's definitely impossible without giving him the same boost as the others unless Renji becomes remarkably incompetent. I suppose you could spin it as Ginjo deciding to kill Moe after the fight when he's weakened and take his power anyway. That way it wouldn't matter if they give him a boost.

It'd evolve in probability manipulation so Moe gets the luckiest result when fighting, though it'd become less effective as time goes by. Renji would keep going despite have all the odds against him and prove that relying solely on his Fullbring made Moe's defeat inevitable. Then Moe gives his "I'd die for Tsukishima" speech and Renji gives some kind of inspiring speech about manning up and not throwing his life away. It'd be a good sign of Renji becoming a captain in the future and makes far more sense than Ikkaku doing it (along with standing next to the captains right before they leave).

Not if, like Ikkaku, he has no idea what's going on when he goes in. Afterall, he let Jackie hit him (Granted she was a woman, but that didn't stop him from trying to murder Rukia by surprise in his first appearance now did it :snigger: ). If he does the same thing here, he could get off to a very poor start which, depending how it goes, could entirely turn the situation around with subsequent lucky shots.

The true beauty of Jackpot Knuckle is that you think the blow will do nothing but then it does something absurd out of nowhere. :sisi:

He doesn't have to win of course, but he could get some nasty hits in if Renji isn't expecting it. Keep in mind, out of everyone there including Tsukishima with his retcon sword and Yukio with his videogame shenanigans, it's Moe who Ginjou said was too powerful to keep alive. And out of everyone save Tsukishima, it was Moe who did the most damage to a Shinigami and put up the toughest fight. :ph43r:

Knyght

The Collector
I'd struggle to find that scenario believable, tbh. Feels too much like Renji's holding the idiot ball so Moe doesn't get trounced immediately.

Jackpot Knuckle's got a dangerous ability but it's also easy to avoid, especially since Moe himself is an amateur. Ikkaku only had a tough time because he has a suicidal approach to fighting and took every hit instead of dodging like anyone else would do. And Renji has a ranged option to boot.

Of course, he could potentially get in a good shot which prevents him from being defeated outright but it would feel pretty weak to me. :huh.:

~NGD OMEGA~

Well-Known Member
Depends how it goes. If he does the same thing he did against Jackie, for whatever reason, he's taking a heavy hit outright. If he tries to keep it ranged, Moe has a decent chance to hit the sword and it will break, removing his ranged option bit by bit.

Of course he might break his sword enough that the broken fang technique he used on Aizen is viable, though he'd need time to pull that off which Moe can use to land a blow.

They're also pretty prone to blowing up in his face. That was the reason why the only way he could take Syzael with Kido was to trap him right next to himself and purposefully overloaded it to the point that it exploded spectacularly on both of them. :snigger:

So are there any general changes people would make to series as opposed to just the plot (though I suppose they go hand-in-hand)? Such as removing certain characters, changing their roles, reworking the structure of the Gotei 13/Espada etc.

~NGD OMEGA~

Well-Known Member
I said a long time ago if I were to cull the number of characters, I'd start with at least a chunk of the vizard. Obviously Shinji and Hiyori have plot importance, little as that was realized, and Lisa at least has the connection to Shunsui and Nanao, and Kensei is a badass while Hachi is a plot device and thus necessary. Love, Rose, and of course Mashiro however can be removed with little affect to the plot.

It'd actually be a rather easy fix too, all that would have to happen is a number of them 'die' during either the point when Kensei turned into a hollow, when Aizen cut them down, or thanks to their own instability during the hollowification process. Not everyone should survive that unscathed, to drive the wound a bit deeper.

Presuming I had a bit more control earlier down the line, I'd also probably reduce the overall division number, potentially restructuring the entire Gotei if need be to cull a few of the extraneous vice captains at least. Maybe have it run by about 4 or 5 division heads (Seniors and Aizen probably) with subdivisions under one of the head's jurisdictions where the other captains would congregate as needed as 'Subdivision heads' or whatever military title would be more appropriate.

Yamamoto obviously heads most of the important stuff like the ninja squad and the Mayuri's science department. Naturally this would mean if we want to remove everything evil in SS that remains after Aizen defects, we just need to destroy this entire group. :snigger:

Ukitake obviously would handle a lot of administrative stuff so that'd tie the 9th into him with their newspapers stuff likely nabbing the 7th also since Komamura and Tousen are buddies. 4th is the healing squad so other than the Kido division they probably wouldn't need subdivisions (or I suppose her and Kido could be a subdivision of one of the others), and Kyoraku could take those misfits under his Jurisdiction like Byakuya and Kenpachi, probably making him a more overall combat oriented division. Aizen obviously has Gin under his thumb, but also presuming Aizen heads investigations that'd likely also put the 10th under his care, which could have all kinds of fun implications after his betrayal with Hitsugaya being the only commander left in his whole division. The paperwork increase would be massive. :ph43r:

As I said before I'd likely remove the Shiba storyline entirely since that went nowhere, or at the very least jut cut Ganju since he was rather extraneous no matter how you slice it.

Now the Espada are quite a bit harder to restructure since the numbering mechanics is key there, but I'd want to at least double the number of higher level ones so we have something to work with, that or at least make the Privaron concept more relevant so they're actually (Much like my Gotei structure) the direct servants of the Espada, rather than the much weaker fraccion. Would help to scale up the encounters more properly so the majority of them (save the Halibabes obviously) aren't worthless decoration next to their Espada commander half the time.

Naturally, given the lack of Privaron, this would mean scaling up a lot of the existing fraccion in powerlevel so they are more formidable. Maybe also have it so the privaron also command a squad of fraccion as needed. So for say Grimmjaw's group he'd likely have one or two Privaron, and the rest would be fraccion also under his command, but in a pinch would take orders from the privaron. Obviously Shawlong, being essentially the subcommander already would be one, but considering the amount of power Eldorad showed off he'd likely be the other, since he was probably the most impressive of the bunch. Almost more impressive than the Espada in a lot of cases.

Not sure what I'd do with Barragon's lot though since basically no one stood out (Save Yumichika's Fabulous foe, but even then not as SUBHEAD material). Maybe just the one Soifon fought? Plus maybe that guy Hisagi had a fight with since the mask thing was interesting. I suppose Ikkaku's whale guy might be a possible too. Oh, that Hawk guy who had a second form was pretty neat as well. :hmm:

I'd also make sure to properly integrate beasts like that sand guy and Superchunky into the group more directly so it's less of a complete waste of space for that thing to show up in the middle of the arc.

Good stuff, good stuff. Follows similar lines to my own ideas but more detailed:

A smaller Gotei with fewer shinigami of significance that we're meant to keep track of. I'd probably axe the 11th Division since having an entire group who only used swordplay seems really flawed. For similar reasons I'd merge the 4th Division and Kido Corps together since they go hand-in-hand really. And Mayuri would be a traitor too since he fits seamlessly into the group and he's born to be a villain.

Fewer Vizards since half of them are insignificant and they weren't explored very well anyway. Having less of them would make it easier to add depth and create a real bond between them and Ichigo('s group).

Beefing up the Fraccion or making it so that all the Fraccion are actually former Espada. The fact that they were only equal to the lieutenants didn't sit right with me; really they should have been in the stage between lieutenant and captain.

If I were to keep the full 13 divisions, give more of them 'specific' roles like how the 2nd is the ninja guys (complete with ninja proportionism, where one ninja (Soifon) is super-dangerous while a dozen ninjas is mook quality), and the 12th is the Research division.

Make the 1st far more command-oriented than just Yamamoto being the head of the Gotei 13. If he's temporarily incapacitated Chojiro should be taking on a significant amount of the coordination work that goes into running the Gotei.

The 3rd, I dunno?

The 5th I think fits as a Gotei 13-integrated version of the Kido Corps.

The 6th, I dunno? Given that the captain position was held by Byakuya's pa or grandpa before it could probably be more the high culture hotspot but that's not reall a purpose.

The 7th division strikes me for some reason as being the guys who would actually patrol Rukongai in their spare time, making sure people like Ganju aren't disturbing the peace :evil3:

and so on

Also: with regards to the Vizards, since half of them were lieutenants (or in the case of Hachigen purportedly lieutenant level since he was Kido Corps) shouldn't they be weaker than the ex-captains, or do we just assume they all attained bankai in the last hundred years? Mashiro, Lisa and Hiyori were all lieutenants while the other guys were all Captains

Knyght

The Collector
I've been assuming that they haven't achieved bankai, personally. Power-wise, I consider the three of them to be between captain and lieutenant and then captain-level when they're masked. Given his unique abilities, I just think of Hachigen as a captain-level fighter.

EDIT: Some other changes I would make would be to remove Cero Oscuras. Cero and Gran Rey Cero are more than enough.

I'd also remove the concept of Segunda Etapa by making that form Ulquiorra's regular Resurreccion or I'd change into something every arrancar can do or just the Espada.

So, I'm not sure why, but I was thinking about some of my potential revisions earlier today and I stumbled onto what is potentially a pretty good idea.

Way back in my first post, I proposed that when Ichigo went SUPER HOLLOW on the roof against Ulquiorra, he would internally return to his mindscape in order to face his Hollow again.

Well, I had an idea for a better confrontation than just another fight:

Ichigo would appear in his mindscape again, and he would be along but for his Hollow. He would confront his hollow, demanding to know why this is all happening.

The Hollow will of course be come-offish again, and will make insinuations as to Ichigo's ability to fight and protect what he believes in. To indulge in his instincts and what he wants. Things of that nature.

Eventually, the Hollow will simply ask Ichigo a question, "What is the true nature of a Hollow?"

That question will hang in the air for a moment before the Hollow disappears and the mindscape around Ichigo shifts into something more along the lines of a representation of Karakura Town, complete with people. It will still obviously be fake however, and just a mental representation.

Ichigo will determine that he needs to find his Hollow, and will dwell on the question that he was posed. He'll look everywhere he can think of, likely even some more humorous places? And he'll consider everything that he knows about Hollows, but still not quite 'get' it?

In the end, Ichigo will start to give up, but then will have a realization, possibly prompted by something or another.

Point is, he goes to his mother's grave and his Hollow is there.

Not sure how the Hollow should respond though. Either the Hollow doesn't at first believe that Ichigo really figured anything out, or the Hollow realizes that Ichigo really did.

Either way, Ichigo answers the question, "The true nature of a Hollow is loneliness."

Maybe some sort of demonstration or something after that. But in the real world the Hollow Hole will close up in Ichigo's chest, and then he'll regain himself.
