Summary: Shirou Emiya's gambled on being returned to the Fifth Holy Grail War. It didn't quite turn out the way he had hoped.

Basically a story where Tokiomi summon's Emiya instead of Gil as his servent in the fourth Heaven's Feel.

Thoughts, Ideas, Poissble titles?

Honestly, knowing more details on the Fourth Holy Grail War really helps this idea move along.

The fact that Archer was summoned by Tohsaka means that he gets to see Loli-Rin, and work alongside with Kotomine. It also gives him an oppourtunity to prevent him from meeting Kiritsugu, and allowing Emiya to live a life (or die a death) without pursuing his path as a hero.

There is a lot of potential with this idea, and even more so with the novels. So much that I can't list all the factors that could go into it at the moment.

Is it Shirou or Archer? And if it's Shirou, which scenerio would he be from?

Its Archer.

I was thinking if I do this (aka if no one elses wants to take it up) Arher would at first be extreme distruthful and antagonistic towards Kotomine but eventually understanding and pity for Kirei. also i never thought of stopping Shirou from meeting Kiritsugu

Something to note here...

Shirou and Kotomine never hated each other. On the contrary, if Kotomine hadn't been... you know, trying to kill everybody (or Shirou wasn't such a goodie-two-shoes), the two of them might have had a good relationship.

Hmm, this idea sorta reminds me of Mereo's 'Throne of Shirous' though.
That what I meant just being distrustful and antagonistic because of the trying to kill everyone part and then sort of forming a relationship

It is kinnd of similar but it is very different or at least different enough. and if it bothered him don't you think he would've mentioned it in his post?

It only bothers me if the idea never gets written.

*hint*

That said...

What I want to see, without a doubt, is Archer meeting Ilya's mother, who would have been his own had she lived, and does look like an adult Ilya.

And then, for some crack points, get her pregnant.

well, I'll only write it with no one with a better grip on the Nasuverse wants to. And I'd have to rely on second hand information since I don't really have access to fate/Zero.

I was leaning towards no pairings but if I did Irisviel was the frontrunner. Preggers eh? If i do write that its a maybe.

Well I was thinking of Archer carrying a grudge but now that I think more about what you were saying it makes more sense. I'mm plannint on Emiya gunning for Kiritsugu, making it so Shirou will never be rescued and never want to become a Hero of Justice, based on Meteo's idea

I tend to get densive and/or extremely agressive even just when I think I or something/one I like is getting attackedIf been known to get people's tongues off with a rusty butter knife for accussing or insulting me

??? I don't think you finished that last paragraph, there...

Anyway, if Kiritsugu was successfully killed (by EMIYA or anyone else) during the Fourth Grail War, Saber would never have Excalibur'd the Grail, and thus (IIRC) no massive fire killing Shirou's real parents, among others.

...then again, the resulting causality paradox would kinda make the absence of the fire something like losing a Zippo amidst a nuclear bombing. I think.

One major issue: Rin summoned EMIYA because her amulet (and possibly she herself) acted as a link to him. In Tokiomi's case, the catalyst he used was the fossilized remains of the first skin shed by the world's first snake, and the amulet probably wouldn't enter into it. And considering that Shirou never met Tokiomi, that wouldn't be a link.

On the opposite side, I see much potential (assuming the world doesn't go pfft!). If Shirou wasn't raised by Kiritsugu (who was extremely reluctant to teach Shirou anything at all about magic), I'd bet Kotomine would take him in. In this case, that would put Shirou and Rin in close proximity.
Without Kiritsugu's influence on his upbringing (indeed, replacing him with Kotomine), he'd probably be quite a bit more cynical and superior. Rin's high potential would rankle, leading to a heated rivalry.

...might be grounds for a mutual tsun-dere romance between them. ^_^
