Yeah, if they treated Fish like that they'd fall on you like the wrath of God.
Mike doesn't do the things they banned Fish for (any hint of paedophilia deeply concerns the mods, both because it squicks them, and because if someone searching the internet for things to be offended by notices the post, it could result in lawsuits), and the level of provocation it takes to get Mike to lose his cool would get the provoker in a bit of trouble, as well.

EDIT: Thanatos, who I think is the one who decided to make an example of Deviatesfish, really, really hates paedophiles, which is why he decided to do a post that said 'Don't be Deviantfish' (note misspelling). This was after Fishie said some things that reminded me to much of Souffle, and I'm apparently more willing to make a distinction between 'has creepy taste in stories' and 'is a probable threat to real children'.
No, but the angry flaming of the mods that would eminate from me when they did something like that would get me banned in about five seconds flat from any board with your average "I can't take criticism or any kind of public dissent" kind of mod. Hell, I only really survive on BL because most of my anger at moderation decisions is expressed to Altima via PMs or MSN (what happened a few days ago was pretty much the result of him just ignoring my angry PM and carrying on regardless), and because the mods are generally actually reasonable.

I mean, I can't stand Fish, but if I saw someone saying something like that to him, I'd jump on them in two seconds flat, mod or not.
And whats to stop you from presenting your views in a rational, non-insulting manner that wouldn't cause you to get banned? I can understand wanting to flame people, but there is some point where you should step back and realize that there are better ways of getting your point across. Ways that don't make people want to bait you into arguments just to see if they can get you banned from reaction alone.

Its okay to jump to someone's defense when the people in charge are wrong. Doing so in that manner makes you not only a justifiable target, but someone who a majority of onlookers would believe was in the wrong. No one likes the loud angry guy, its extremely easy to make him seem the villain. Less people like the loud angry guy that is easily baited, because not only is it easy to make him seem like a bad guy, but his reaction reinforces that image with no extra effort.
Because I'd bet any amount of money that the mods on SB would not take any notice of what I said. Further, they'd probably ban me for daring to argue with them, at least publically, even if I did do it entirely rationally and without expressing anger.
No, if you're calm and rational about it, they won't ban you for telling them they're wrong. Its true that they might not notice, though, if they're not regularly participating in the thread, or you don't PM them.

Also, the fact that MJ12 Commando hasn't been permabanned is a pretty good indicator that you might not be, either. Hell, even SCM was only tempbanned, its just that he got fed up with being told that he couldn't post anything that would make the mods think he was a paedo (I tried to warn him, but apparently to subtly), and stopped posting there, altogether.

Then again, there isn't much on SB.com that I know you'd be interested in, so there isn't much reason for you to go there.

There was that RP where you played as Servant Ruler Nimrod and could save Sakura from the darkness and stuff.

It's still going, and we are not aiming to save Sakura as much as either kill her or turn her into a minion.

Well, I haven't checked it lately, but from what I could skim from it, it was because Sakura was being a horrible person and hurting Rin and stuff? Hm...

Well, the player's original option that they chose for a Master was something like "a girl who is in trouble and in need of a hero" or something. I was surprised that that girl turned out to be Rin when everyone thought that was Sakura.

Dude. We are playing as King Nimrod, and Sakura has already gone Dark. We have no reason to care about her.

You'll have to blame Cpl. Facehugger for that.

Since, you know... he's the GM.

Well, my suspicion is that, were it Rin or Saber, you'd find a reason why you should care....

Rule One of Mike Club: It's OK if Mike does it.

You can't really argue with a guy who will only accept that he is wrong if/when the earth is swallowed up by the sun, or something like that. I don't remember the exact quote, but that is pretty close! :D

Gotta admire that... whatever that is.

Now when we say purple haired pillow, do we mean real purple hair where Sakura's hair would be? A pillow completely covered in purple hair? Stuffed with purple hair? Woven with purple hair?

*imagines Mike snuggling up to any one of these*

....My but that's amusing!

Although the woven with purple hair could be really uncomfortable. I think I recall shirts woven out of hair being used as penance.

And if a pillow was completely covered in purple hair, it'd be like a wookie Sakura that communicates only in throaty moans as you bury your face into her carpet/fur/hair.

Oh, right, because the fact that I am somewhat biased means that I'm not allowed to point out that other people are? Wonderful logical fallacy there....

Also, whilst I may be biased, I would never deliberately avoid saving a character in an RP like that. I may care more for Sakura than the others, but I am above all someone who likes fairness (and, before you talk any crap about MoS, it is not at all fair that Sakura should be sacrificed to prevent something which is not her fault after a lifetime of suffering).

Reminds me of that FoZ/FSN fic that has Louise summon Gilgamesh. Between the fourth and fifth war, he had a custom body pillow made in Saber's image, complete with bumps for where her breasts would be. Great story, and one I wish was updated.

So what you're saying is that it was a completely ordinary pillow with Saber's image on it.

No, that'd be Akiha.

Wait, I actually think I remember seeing someone say once that Saber and Akiha's chests are actually the same size. Can't remember where, though.

Hmm. Type-Moon wikia confirms this. Drat.

The scene in question is from Like a King by Icura, chapter 2.

From his vault appeared one of the few treasures of modern society that he had acquired into his collection during the downtime between the Holy Grail Wars. It was a cylindrical-shaped pillow that was as tall as he was with a picture of Saber along its length. It was called a dakimakura by the Japanese in Fuyuki, but he preferred to call it by what it was: a hug pillow.

It had taken him a lot of time to find an artist that could draw a satisfactory portrait of Saber from his description alone, but plenty had came forward to try to claim the large reward. His younger age at the time had made the purchase an impulse buy, but the pillow had grown on him. Indeed, it was a masterpiece. There were even modest bumps on the large pillow where the breasts were to make it feel even more real.

Maybe it's because Akiha is taller, if only slightly, that Saber seems larger.

Yeah, Saber is more petite according to her sizes.

I don't think the Japanese tendency to least female characters' sizes will ever stop creeping me out.
