Evangelion Beginning of the End

I've grown tired of the multitude of Loop threads. Some may find them funny, but I gradually get a sense of horror from them. So I wish to personally end these loops. I got an idea, and Evangelion is the only series I know of where I could come up with some kind of epilogue to these loops.

Concept is simple: The "Anchors" have grown tired of the endless lives they've lead. They have grown more estranged with one another, and even the amusement of fucking with their own timeline has worn off. Over 10,000 years of things would do it to anyone. Of course, at this point it has become apparent that the power several of the Anchors acquired will never allow the loops to end. In effect, the dickery several protagonists did on a whim is ultimately what fuels the loops.

However, the various Gods and Goddesses finally have a solution. The solution is a complete reset of the multiverse. All the memories everyone accumulated over history will be lost, but life can continue to exist. So the current loop everyone is on (thankfully a regular loop) is in effect the final loop, and that means there is some visitation rights for the Gods and Goddesses before their goodbyes.

Feel free to discuss. I already have an idea on how it will go, but I wouldn't mind hearing a few ideas.

I've always thought that the only solution to end the loops was a hard reset of the entire system. Like a computer bug that spiraled out of control the only way to restore your system was to bring it back to the point before the bug or simply format the computer and restore from a back up.

Thou shalt fail. No seriously, I'm fairly sure your chances of actually convincing people to just let the loops die is nigh impossible.

I apologize if this sounds harsh; but this thread will do very little in the long run. Even if you do write an idea that puts an end to the loops for you, do you seriously believe that others will stop posting ideas and snippets just because you posted up some random ending? As long as a few of the board members find the loops fun to read or write they will keep posting.

Also your not the first one to attempt to end the loops and I very much doubt you will be the last. The best advice I can offer you is, if you've grown bored or upset with loops just ignore them. I suppose you could write you own ending but in the end it most likely will do nothing to halt the loops as those who want to write for them will just ignore whatever ending you come up with.

If you refer to my own entry in the Ranma thread, that was actually more a spur of the moment bad spam fic idea than any actual serious attempt on my part to end them out of hatred.

The idea of Akane fixing everything with a mere mallet swing like seen in Independence Day or like the Fanz in Happy days I thought amusing.

Only thing I dislike is the size of the snippets, as I prefer longer reads. The NGE thread has roughly some 53 entries, but is only some 94kb...
