Big disappointments

So for every awesome announcement that you love, there are inevitably ones you absolutely despise. Or sometimes, it is not an announcement that disappoints you but rather the lack of one.

I'll start us off with Bayonetta 2. I don't think there is a single person anywhere who was actually happy with the WiiU exclusivity. I loved the first game so much, and now won't be able to play the sequel. To be perfectly honest, I would prefer not having a sequel over having it be exclusive to the WiiU.

Also, the lack of announcements and/or the dead silence on so many Eastern F2P MMOs for NA. I want to play Blade and Soul, and NCSoft has been dead silent on the NA release for months. Kritika hasn't even gotten a NA dev yet. And there are plenty more that I wish I could play and am unable to.

So, how about you guys?

Nobody is ever happy with exclusivity. most people just don't know how to cope with the idea of Nintendo exclusivity for anything but mario and zelda since the mid 90s.

Pretty much anything Capcom does these days. I'm a big Mega Man fan, and I've had to swallow disappointment after disappointment from them. Legends 3's cancellation, Capcom EU's PR blaming it on the fans, Mega Man Classic sequels that are just 8-bit retro games meant to appease older fans (never did well at Classic, so I don't usually go for them), lack of support for the other titles (X, ZX), and not to mention all of the utter bullshit attempts they make to explain plotholes in their supplementary materials.

Doesn't help that the one friend I have that likes Mega Man can't see any wrong in Capcom, when it's become so obvious.

Battlefield 2.

Battlefield 1942 was an epic fight in the air, on land, on the water, and underneath.

BF2 removed the naval combat and simplified everything else.
Artillery was reduced from mobile vehicles to commanders pressing a button to instakill the enemy.

In defense of Bayonetta 2, Nintendo literally foot the bill for the game, so of course it would be a WiiU exclusive.

Pretty sad that Nintendo has more love for Megaman than Capcom does.

As for me, disappointment... hmm...

I think a lot of the "No Export for you" games come to mind.

Oh I know that. Doesn't mean I have to like it.

I'd be perfectly fine with Nintendo grabbing exclusives if they weren't pandering to gimmicky shit. Wii sold hand over fist. Prior to that, I had a N64 and a Gamecube. I was excited for the Wii. Then I got it aaaaaaannnnnnndddddd yeah. Racing games where the controller couldn't tell left from right (Yes, thats a thing.) "Motion control" that was as poorly optimized as it was finicky to use....

Its now a fancy desk weight. And then they went and made the WiiU....and continued with the gimmicks. My brothers have one of the damn things. They use it maybe once a month, if that. So I have one available, but in my tiny current apartment, I'm definitely not going to be playing fucking Bayonetta where they can see it. Too young for that. Can't pull it out of their room either.
