Nitpicks on decibels' post:
Sharkbait doesn't have a zanpakto style blade. His blade is an extension of his mask, and is similar to a shark fin. He fights using his claws, with the occasional bite/headbutt thrown in.
Also, given how drained you are, I'd cut the reiatsu flare towars the end of your post. You're on your last legs of energy, so mustering enough to scare a hungry hollow into backing off is just out of the question.
Might want to change the ending as well. The way it's set up, it implies that everyone has arrived, and that may or may not be the case, depending on the number of people still interested and how they want to execute their arrival/attacks.

Then again, long term injuries might be an option... We'll just have to wait and see.

ah, looks like I'm going to have to spill a few beans on my character ahead of time but firstly, right now Yakumo is almost LITERALLY out of reiatsu. He's going to be out of commission for weeks more than likely. No popping up the next day fully recovered for him sorry.
I wasn't sure about Sharkbaits look so i just tried to come up with something that fit as you said he had a blade so I just did my best with what little description of him there was. I'll go back and edit in a bit to fix that.
I would also assume that considering that the squad moved out at the same time and is most likely going to stay together the whole way there and arrive at mostly the same time save for Sachiko who is away from the main group and was wandering around the town like Yakumo.
Now to the meat of the issue about my character. You won't be seeing this version of Yakumo this often. I don't want to give too much away but think of it like a split personality that takes over in extremely stressful situations or scenarios that bring up some particularly nasty memories he doesn't like remembering. So if you're worrying about him suddenly becoming overpowered, don't. I have participated in one or two RPG's before and realize how unfun they can be if all the characters are overpowered. If you'll also notice Yakumo didn't actually DO much of anything when his personality changed.
The last point I would like to address is his little aura/spirit pressure trick he did that I'm hearing grumblings about being overpowered, that wasn't pure spirit pressure he used, heck he probably didn't even have enough reiatsu left at that point to even make a d class hollow feel it much less whatever class sharkbait is. He combined what reiatsu he had left with the actual intent to kill. Basically the opposite of what hollows do though also very similar. Hollows use their reiatsu and blood lust i believe whereas Yakumo used his reiatsu to convey a intent to kill so completely devoid of emotion that it was like he was stepping on a bug to the hollow. I think that would probably atleast intimidate if not scare a hollow, well either that or piss it off.
If you guys still think its too much after reading my reasons behind it I'll try and power it down a bit but I'm not taking out his personality change at all. That is part of a sub plot dealing with my characters back story that Jizzle and I are working on together.
Also Jizzle, I'm a bit disappointed in you because it's sounding like you didn't even read my post the entire way through. In what way did I "blow the hollow away"? If the rest of the team hadn't shown up Yakumo would have been Hollow bait right about then. Also even with this supposed power up at best Yakumo was holding him off until he pulled his little killer intent trick which MIGHT have allowed him an opening to injure the hollow at the most.
Seriously guys, give me a little credit. I'm not so new at this that I would just blatantly power up my character for no reason and a bit irritated that you would think so. Yakumo NEEDED that "power up" to survive against the hollow. He has no kido skills to speak of save what was required in the academy and has no real talent for them in the first place. The only things he's halfway good at are hohou, Hakuda and by association Zanjutsu. Given that a hollow is most likely physically stronger than most shinigami without reiatsu enhancement coming into the equation I believe I was justified in giving him his temporary boost that will NOT be showing up again very soon if at all.
I'd like to reiterate my point above that this so called "power up" was NOT simply just because, it is part of a ongoing plot/thread whatever you want to call it dealing with Yakumo's past.
Seriously, If I wanted I could have just pulled Shikai right there and it would have been a hell of a lot more overpowered than it was. Yakumo still would have ended up exhausted but unless that hollow had the devil's own luck it would likely be dead as well. Not to mention contrary to belief my character doesn't actually have what could be called reliable access to Shikai right now but more on that will be revealed later on down the road so I'm not gonna spoil it.

Then another hollow (Sharkbait?) appeared, and was basically going to have Komono for lunch.
Yakumo (decibels) showed up to save me, but isn't strong enough to do so alone.
So:
After about three interruptions, I think my character will finally accomplish something by actually finishing a Kido, and sealing Sharkbait's movements with Bakudo 9.
