Bleach: Badass Yachiru

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to write a fic, or at least a scene, in which Yachiru demonstrates sufficient badassery to prove that she deserves her position as Vice-Captain of the 11th Division, while still keeping her in character.

Frankly, I thought the scene in the manga where she hoisted Kenpachi onto her shoulder and then leaped away, bouncing between buildings, showed a fair bit in itself. Also the scene where she got pissed at that messenger and flared her aura.

But part of the challenge is howing that she deserves the vice-captain spot. She needs to show more than a bit of power and temper tantrums for that to work.

Yes, exactly. Having her WTFPWN an arrancar would work, but that's only one example.

A character piece of Yachiru's development at Zaraki's side could be quite interesting... and of course, fulfill the challenge quite well.

She spends almost all her time around Zaraki. Without getting crippled or killed.

And she spends all her time watching her frineds fight. We don't know anything about her ability to fight beyond the fact that her power can cower some random shinigami that might not even be a member of the gotei 13. He could have easily have been a mssenger. The only thing we know is that she's good at running.

... and strong enough to carry Kenpachi.

Tatsuki is strong enough to carry him. Just about anyone who made it into the gotei 13 can do that. The only real indications we have of her power is her spped, which was commented on by those who weren't shinigami, and limited by normal human speed. We also know she isn't visibly effected by her captain's power. She can also visibly manifest her power, but we don't know how much power you need to do that.
