Bleach Bleach Online

So I've been playing Naruto Online for a few months now, and it's been surprisingly complex and fun to do, even at the freemium level. Since I'm on vacation at the moment, I though, "Hey, why not try out the Bleach Online game I've seen before?"

One day in, and... it's...

I just have to know... is this the official Bleach(R) game? I know Bandai backs up the Naruto Online game and provided original enemies and characters for that platform, and it shows, with everything looking it came straight off Masashi Kishimoto's own desk. The Bleach Online game, well, it runs on the similar concept (though I think it came before the Naruto one did) and lets you choose from either gender version of Soul Reaper, Quincy, or Arrancar (Sword, Bow, Magic/Kido, basically) the art does make me feel like it is initially, but, um... there's a few things that take me out of the immersion of being in an official game. A few things I wasn't expecting.

Like Sexy!Hiyori.

Or Strip minigames.

Adutl!ish Yachiru.

Your girlfriend, and all the fun things you can do with her (and your slaves).

[NOTE: Those lower two hands will cost you some premium currency, which I've only gotten a little of, and then it gets broadcasted across the network that you "got her clothes dirty."]

And I'm not even past level 30 yet. A number of characters in more alluring outfits and poses, like Nanao and Yoruichi.

If this was Tite's vision, maybe Jump should have let him do his thing... see where it goes...

It.... Kind of looks horrible..... I mean, it's just fanservice. Nothing else, really. And that's not even getting into the horrible implications of "upgrading to a new girlfriend". That's not how dating works unless you have narcissistic personality disorder or some other crap like that.

It.... Kind of looks horrible..... I mean, it's just fanservice. Nothing else, really. And that's not even getting into the horrible implications of "upgrading to a new girlfriend". That's not how dating works unless you have narcissistic personality disorder or some other crap like that.

Hilariously, you're suddenly with a girlfriend, no matter what gender your character is. I was just plunking along when suddenly, I think Yoruichi was like, "Hey, go see your Girlfriend before we do some serious shit!" And I'm like, "...wut?"

I'm certainly not opposing fanservice most of the time.

I'm just wondering if this game is legitimately sponsored by Viz/Shonen Jump like the Naruto Online game is ran by Bandai. The strip minigame was already weird enough, considering it's a half-ass reference to the Konpaku storyline. Having a pettanko catgirlfriend, though, I don't really get it. And then there's the line that literally says "Oh, wait, I need to capture a slave for my House!" And Ichigo's totally cool with that (but later gets in your ass for wanting to do your Dailies before saving Rukia).

I know it's a web-browser game, but really, it's a mess that's a bit too focused on getting you to "Top up" or buy premium credits. The bonus prize gives you your very own Rangiku Matsumoto, but given limited space for your team, you may well end up deleting her shortly after if you're spending into the game. Plus they have a swimsuit version of her, so...

EDIT: Oh, and the Jan Ken game you play in the taverns forREishi to recruit characters is so fucking rigged, even Vegas would be impressed. I suppose that's why they refund part of your betting, but still, so ungodly rigged. Probably to make people buy autowins because it's the only way to get Reishi outside of the game giving you a few nuggets here and there.

Eh.... It's kind of about the same quality as late series Bleach, so I could see it being sponsored, even if I wish it didn't exist. If you want good fanservice go for season 1 of Ikki Tousen. I'm reserving judgement on season 2 until I actually finish it. Not enough Hakufu, so far.
