Minor correction, UBW does nothing to patch Shirou back up, when it manifests in the Fate route all it does is replace everything beneath his skin with swords, it prevents damage rather than patch it up.

Avalon, the ever-distant utopia, sheath for Excalibur, is what patches him up. It's the only reason he survives long enough to take part in the grail war in the first place.

I'm pretty sure that there's at least one scene where swords sprout from his wounds to seal them shut, though I can't remember exactly where it is. Even what you're saying, though, is still an example of how Shirou's magic is similar to that of a Quincy, since that's another thing that Blut Vene is capable of.

Also, another thing I forgot to mention: Emiya Shirou and Ishida Uryu have the same voice actor in the original Japanese dubs; even if he's got a good vocal range, they probably sound quite similar.

The sword under skin thing occurs when Rider activates Blood Fort Andromeda in the school and Shirou attempts to fight her and her master in the Fate route, he notices after he gets kicked out of a window.

It's the way his reality marble manifests at that point in time. I'm not sure if it's only a partial manifestation or simply that rewriting an area with his own reality is something he develops later in life and gets from Archer in the other two routes.

Your main problem with crossing Fate into anything is reconciling the underlying mechanics of the universe, because in Fate they're fairly reliable, unlike in Bleach where they're significantly more flexible.

As no one knows who Shirou's parents are he doesn't halve to be an illegitimate son. A member of the Ishida clan could have married a redhead in the past.

Given that Uryu is the Last of the Quincy, I think it's pretty likely that Ryuken doesn't have any siblings. The "clan" is probably three people (plus the wives of two of them), and one of those three is dead.

So, random idea. Instead of toying around with Ichigo, Hollow Zangetsu (he does say he is Zangetsu) finishes off Ichigo. Back in the real world, the Ichigo hollow monster stops attacking, and the extra hollow bits fall off. However, standing in the remains is Hollow Ichigo, looking like he does in Ichigo's Inner World, wearing a white...whatever the robe Shinigami wear is called, pale skin and distinct hollow eyes. However, there is no madness or mask, which keeps the Vizard from attacking him on sight.

Well it's not really HollowGetsu without the madness.

If he wasn't bloodthirsty he'd just be Ichigo with Resolve.

Except he isn't all that mad. Sure he loves to fight and is kind of bloodthirsty, but not exceptionally so.

Then why mention it? ;)

Did you just mean that he doesn't act like he does when he first appeared to the Vizards; screaming and choking the life out of Hiyori?

I am unsure of what you mean. If you are talking about how Hollow Ichigo doesn't have the same madness as a hollow, I mentioned that because he has distinct hollow eyes and is giving off the reiatsu of a hollow/arrancar, and I needed a reason for them to not gank him.

For the second part, to be fair Hiyori was beating the shit out of Ichigo, and while his hollow doesn't particularly care for Ichigo he doesn't want the body to suffer undue harm, either.

Yuzu and/or Karin (funnier if Yuzu is involved, alone or not) find Rukia in Ichigo's closet, jump to the obvious conclusion, and decide to give her the 'hurt my brother and I will end you' talk. Given Rukia's limited knowledge of the human world, this leads to her asking questions, and given that Yuzu and Karin are kids, the answers can easily lead in very comedic directions.

Through a combination of fairly unlikely circumstances, Gin finds an opportunity to kill Aizen roughly around the time of Ichigo's birth.
Disturbingly enough, Yamamoto is aware of the entire plot, and Gin 'narrowly escapes' Soul Society, meeting a disbelieving Urahara in the process. Over the course of the next few years, things settle down entirely as Aizen's plots are revealed, numerous strings are pullled, and Urahara, Ichimaru, Yoruichi and the Vaizard are unofficially pardoned, but advised to stay in the world of the living for a few more decades while the dust settles, on what amounts to a vacation. Yhwach never existed in the first place.

In the mean time, Ichigo's birth removed the burden from Masaki and Isshin, allowing them both access to their powers. Tragedies don't happen, life proceeds pretty normally.
Flash forward some fifteen years, Ichigo makes pocket money by helping people with supernatural stuff by night, and trying to finish high school without getting into too many fights by day.

All the conflict just disappeared. Is it meant to pave the way for an entirely original plot or is it just slice-of-life?

I've considered multiple things, but honestly, a full original plot would really not be necessary. Interesting though? Most likely.

I think slice of life/world building would be a better option here, unrestrained by cannon shackles.

What if Ichigo had been more forthcoming with his siblings upon the start of the series about after-life warriors purifying the souls of the dead actually being a thing?

No idea what to make of it, though.

It could lead to them all telling their "ignorant" dad the truth. Maybe he'd stop playing pretend.

Speaking of Isshin, now what if Ichigo had been a little more intrepid with grilling his dad about details on the past following Aizen's defeat and his Quincy heritage was revealed in that 17-month interval? Still not sure what to make of it, but it's something.

And speaking even further of that, I'm surprised I've never seen a 'Masaki doesn't get killed by Grand Fisher' fic at all. Major plot change there.

It wasn't that interesting of a divergence originally. Mainly would have been that the Kurosaki kids have different personalities from not having to adapt to their mum's death e.g. Yuzu wouldn't be the resident mom, Karin wouldn't try so hard to be tough and not cry and Ichigo'd probably be less self-loathing, frowny, aggressive and less concerned with strength. So arguably less interesting on all accounts.

Now it's possibly a different bag of worms but some/many might not like the Masaki reveal or the revelations of the last arc in general, so nobody's rolling with it. And less people writing about Bleach anyway.

But moving on, I assume in this case she survives in the same way Uryu did; she's able to retain her power instead of having it ripped away and falling into a coma. An interesting fallout could be Masaki realizing that the Quincy King prophecy is being fulfilled and so in nine years time, he's gonna come back and rock the world. As an impure Quincy who somehow survived her judgement, her and her family could be in danger, plus she'd just seen her son run up to a hollow and nearly get eaten.

Early acquaintanceship between Ichigo and Uryu is also a possibility; Masaki might go visit Ryuuken (if she didn't already) after hearing about his wife.

Just a thought: I wonder if Orihime could have h4xed the Dangai pre-Winter War for 2000x timeflow training inside.

And really, post Winter War, what's stopping the Shinigami from using it now :)?

The Cleaner might have come back/been reborn or something. It also involves someone (or a group of someones) spending a long time sitting on their assess and burning energy without food or water for the sake of someone else's training.

Maybe work with Hat-n-clogs and Yoruichi to awaken their Quincy and Shinigami powers early.

Take Ichigo to the Visored to learn about those powers as well.
