BtVS/B5 concept

[Prince Charon]

An idea, in the form of a trailer or opening sequence:

Beauty shot of Babylon 5, with various spacecraft. Several large, disc-shaped objects with White Star-type organic armour surround the station.

WHO

Xander, looking about thirty-five and wearing an Earthforce Captain's uniform, shaking hands with Captain Lochley. We see that Xander has a B5 patch on his shoulder, while Lochley has one for a new Victory-class ship.

ARE

Buffy in Downbelow, dressed as an Anla'shok, beheading Spike with a short-sword. As he crumbles to dust, she looks relieved.

YOU?

Tara, wearing an Intersteller Alliance/B5 uniform (the ones Delenn gave Sheridan and the others after they broke away from Earth), with an XO's bar with a Psi in the middle, giving an order in C & C.

Images flash by, rapidly: Willow and Giles, dressed as Technomages, entering from the docking bay. Faith, in a B5 Security uniform, firing a PPG. Lennir and Zack Allen, eating at a restaurant in the Zoccolo. A squadron of Thunderbolts flash by the station. Cordelia, in surgical scrubs, holding a Centauri child's hand.

WHAT

Ethan Rayne, garbed as a Technomage, flips a switch on an odd device. It glows blue and green, and streams of light flow from it. Ethan laughs, quietly.

DO

Willow, naked except for a thin collar with a ring in the front, crawls across silk sheets toward a surprised and aroused Xander. Her Technomage cyberware emphasizes, rather than detracting from, her beauty.

YOU

An object, seemingly of Vorlon construction, sits in Medlab. It opens, and green light swirls out, sweeps across the room, touching on Buffy and Faith, then retreats, and coalesces into Dawn, looking about sixteen.

WANT?

Several Jump-Points open near B5, and Drakh ships exit, firing. The armoured discs intercept some of the beams, while the others miss, and the station and other ships return fire.

More images flash by, rapidly: Xander, piloting a Starfury. A couple of aliens from the 'Crusade' X-Files parody episode rubbernecking in the Zoccolo. Patients being rushed into Medlab, as Cordelia gives orders. Al Bester and Amy Madison, in a fire-fight in Downbelow. Faith and Tara interrogating a Drakh.

Xander, Tara, and Zack stand in C & C as the camera pulls back (and back, and back) to another beauty shot of the station.

Xander (voice-over): The year is 2269. The name of the place ... is Babylon Five.

So, any takers?

To clarify, its set about ten years after B5 (which, IIRC, covered the years 2257 through 2262) and a little over ten years before the station was destroyed and Sheridan died/Ascended/whatever it was he did at the end of 'Sleeping in Light' (B5 final episode), hence the small 'Crusade' references (psi in Tara's XO badge, new Victory class ship, et cetra). Its also two years after the start of 'Crusade'.

The big discs with Whitestar armour are a bit of defensive tech that popped into my head, since as we saw in 'Sleeping in Light', they didn't add any armour to the station (I'm assuming that the discs were moved to protect higher-priority stations prior to 'Sleeping in Light').

The BtVS characters might be reincarnations, or sent ahead by magic, or awakened from suspended animation, or somehow immortal. Some of them might be one of these things, and some another. They might all remember their past together, or only those who are not reincarnations.

Is it that boring, or is this just TFF laziness at work?

There really isn't anything to comment on here. The setting is after everything's finished, and nothing interesting pops out. Yeah "character interaction" and all that, but it seems like the lead in for a soap opera.

That said, if you have any more concrete ideas that might create interest by all means post.
