BTVS Fic Search Thread

I've been wondering, can anyone recommend me some fics that remind of Liz's "Living History" and Tassos' "Bridges Series"? Or for that matter "I Am Who I Am"? (Well, I was thinking more about the future interludes in that one.) Because those made me curious about BtVS fics, but I have yet to find anything good. I reckon I'm not looking in the right places. Specifically, I'm looking for a working crossover with SG-1 or SGA (bonus if Daniel Jackson or Rodney McKay are featured), fics about how the Buffyverse story will continue, the future of the new council's organization, or maybe a revelation of the supernatural and the aftermath (bonus if it's a sensible Xander-centric one without melodramatic purple prose).
Also, I've seen fics from a Tenhawk on tenhawkpresents.com mentioned in the forum and elsewhere, giving me the impression that he's basically either a more reasonable Perfect Lionheart as far as his writing style goes or worse, so naturally that made me curious. (I want to see if Shadow Council really can be compared to Chuunin Exam Day and Partially Kissed Hero, or if it's a gross exaggeration and Council is actually more sensible. Haven't read anything by Tenhawk, but I'm leaning towards that it's doing the guy injustice to compare him unfavourably to Lionheart.) Yet that site seems to be down? Anyone know anything about that?

Nobody compares in any way to Lionheart. Nobody. Tenhawk seems to sufer from Imsosmartandoriginal-itis but a lot of authors do.

It's like a lot of stories on FF.net or anywhere that you know aren't really good but it's still nice to get an alert in your mailbox.

Nobody except the thousand and thousands and thousands of other ff.net authors who put their masturbatory fantasies into writing and get massively offended by negative reviews.

he is bad because he is a solid writer, at least in formatting, grammar and spelling, wich makes his stories actually readeable, unlike the others.

Nah, the way I see it is that most people use him as an example because they actually liked his stuff even though it was shit from the start before it nosedived into crazy ego-tripping territory. You just have to dig through the old threads. Only a few members called the fic out as shit back in the early days when it inexplicably got recommended on the Naruto board.
Just admit it you guys. Seriously. I knew it was shit right after like the first chapter when there were less than a handful of chapters. There was no way he was ever going to write anything better than a guilty pleasure level fic from the get go. So don't act like it is a terrible shame how it turned out.

Robo-Jesus (who may be LGH over here?) goes around telling people that he's called the police on PL and talked to a psychiatrist who diagnosed PL as psychotic or something without ever meeting him, and that he got the police to apparently put him on a watchlist. I think its complete bullshit, but this is the prevalent attitude. He's a bad fanfiction writer who gets offended and acts like an idiot when people criticise him. Move. the fuck. on.

I agree on the Lionheart hysteria, too - people get their panties in a bunch about it far too easily. Dood has his flaws as an author, but he can sometimes produce a story worth reading. Inevitably it sinks under its own weight as he tries to prove how clever he is, but them's the breaks.

I'm looking for a story. Or rather, there is an author with one of those "collection of snippets" bundles in which a story is spread out over a few chapters. It has Smallville's Clark Kent meet up with Glorificus. They fight, fall in love, turn semi-evil (they'll conquer the galaxy but NOT destroy it all) and defeat Buffy.

looking for a particular one shot tldr skip appears to the scoobies with the offer to return those that they have lost the catch is that for all intents and purposes xander is to be removed from the time line. this ends up being a bit of a monkey paw as the butterfly effect comes into play
