BtVS - I Am your Father/Mother

Yeah. I was thinking back on the SI TFFers as Jounin-Sensei thread (I liked Aleh's Appreciation and traced the history of it as best as I could but have since forgotten who started the Jounin thread that spawned it and the other Jounin-sensei stories; still, it was fun stuff,) over in the Naruto section and had this thought. If someone has already done this or there is little interest after a long enough time I'll forget about it.

Basically, You are the father (or mother,) of one of the students of Sunnydale High. Whether you replace the original parent or are born into the BtVSverse is up to you I suppose, but you have to be in Sunnydale. Main Character, Minor Character, doesn't matter. Your goal is to keep your kid, and yourself and spouse if you've got one, alive. For one reason or another, suddenly leaving Sunnydale is not an option. How do you proceed? Could be very interesting if you're Buffy's dad. Heh.

Okay been a little bit. I hadn't added anything yto this yet for two reasons - My computer got fried so my internet access has been irregular and likely will be for a while now and my most reliable source of internet access til I get a new one is my Wii. Considering I have no income for now that may take a while. My other reason was the vain hope that the prompt alone would interest someone enough to bring at least one or two people into this.

So I would take the place of... Amy's dad. First I'd have to either get Catherine somewhat sane or contain her somehow, or deal with her in a more... permanent manner. Probably try to manage one of the former two as the latter could backfire so very badly and having a witch on the side of the good guys that early could be useful.

Maybe try to guide Amy's pursuit magic to neutral or 'light' magics, stay away from the darkish stuff 'til she can handle herself. Also get Amy and Catherine to follow a training routine, might be easy if I say its for cheerleading.

From there I'd probably try to encourage her finding friends , maybe try to very subtly point out people who need help will later on like Marcie Ross, Jonathan, and such. If gotten to early on they could easily become something other menaces later on. Don't know if I'd encourage her to hang out with the Scoobies, probably leave it up to her. Hmmm... more later, when I can get online again.

This seems alot like...RP...and i hate Rp'ers on general principle...fucking mary/gary stu bastards...

anyway...Catherine was hardly sane being both a witch and living a second life through Amy (literally in this case) i honestly doubt changing her husband would help all that much in regards to her sanity

I didn't think of it as an RP. I got the idea from the Jounin-Sensei thread that was in the Naruto section a while back. Basically a collection of stories based around a common theme. In this case the theme is SIing into the role of parent of one of the Sunnydale High kids, preferrably one who featured in at least one or more episodes in the series. I'm working on a snippet myself, but its slow going right now, partly because I'm not sure exactly where to go with this and partly because my writing skills aren't much to write home about right now.
