So I had this Idea right a bit ago and I'm not sure how to flesh it out.

We know that Giles library is possessed of strange and arcane tomes, books that are capable of great and terrible thing, one need only look at the book that captured Moloch the Corrupter, the one that caught on fire when words were recited from it, or any of the books coded by the Du Lac Cross. It's pretty clear that it's an Eldritch Library literally on top of the Mouth of Hell. So my thought is this, what strange and powerful tomes might exist within it?

Perhaps there's a book detailing how to put the Dead to rest and tells the tale of the 9 bright shiners, or maybe there's a Manual on magic that requires a powerful oath before it's knowledge is available. What would happen if one of the Scoobies picked up one of these books during a research session and DIDN'T put it down afterward?

During Season one they're still young enough for most of the oomph of the manual to help/work and the work of an Abhorsen cares not for the age of the Necromancer. SO my question is, what magic books might there be that the Scoobies might pick up, and who would pick up each book?

Willow with the Manual would head off a LOT of problems is my thought and I can see Xander devoting himself wholeheartedly to anything that lets him deal harshly with the Dead (though whether or not BtVS vampires count as Dead for the purposes of this discussion is something else that needs fleshing out).

An idea. the night of zepppo there isn't any zombies around so Xanders still feeling humilitied decides to leave the sunnydale and actually go to road trip as he wants to find himself wich he wasn't able to do in canon. He leaves and has many adventure on the road (Maybe get a power which is explained at below) than he comes to a city like NY and finds out City doesn't have any good guys to protect it. cue Xander the Series type adventures where he gathers a gang. than maybe some one like Oz and Amy or Anya comes around from canon to join to it.

Fleshing out the City would be impotant I think. A few of my ideas is;

A big bad which story would focus but other side missions along the way to help people.

A gang of werewolfs which has a bar on the seedy part of town.

A criminal boss wich learned about night life and is traying to clean out his territory.

A technomage in the pursuit of new technologies.

A potential slayer whose watcher killed and she is looking for the killer.

A Newspaper building bombed for looking in to workings of a demon clans wich Xander can take over to set shop.

I was thinkin about giving Xander a power without OP him than I remembered this old bunny of mine.
As for power I was thinkin Xander would meet a group of people who are practioner of magic but since they have little amount of power for conventional magic they insted focus on one thing and one thing only. By doing that they become very good since they are focused, but because of that they lose all potential of other magic. So Someone who chooses to become Pyromancer will be able to control any amount of fire not burned by fire and can pretty much burn anything.

Xander realising he should his own niche in fighting decides to do something like that but a big weakness in mancer type of magic is that someone who is immunue to your magic can secrew you over so doing something as common as pyromancy doesn't appeal to him instead choosing to something more exotic which he comes across at the start of the story(which is from oWoD).Temporis

Since it is so exotic disipline that very few knows Xander can challange a lot of big bads without coming acroos to some demon which is imminue to his abilities. but every now and than he comee across a someone who has temporal abilities which keeps Xander in his toes. Also learning the basic skill would take entire story By the end of it (around season 7) Xander would retun to fight against The First. By then he would have barely started to study advanced abilities of Temporis.
And without Xander there, Willow destroys the world.

Who says Tara would die? It was pretty much random bullet. So without Xander there Buffy wouldn't be on garden, bullet would probably go someplace else. Really you guys thinking simply too canon compliant. Without Xander there lot's of things will be different. Somethings might be even better than canon others worse some will be simply different.

Even if Tara were to die Giles had time to come from England I am sure Xander can find his way to Sunnydale.

Weird thought that just came to me.

Mostly disregards Season 7 and the comics (except for the Scythe, how the First Slayer was created, and Robin Woods).

What if there was a reason that there had been only one Slayer at a time through the years? The reason, there was only one Slayer.

Period.

When Sineya's body died, the magic used to create the Slayer gave her a new life, with its own unique history, with all the evidence needed that she existed (much like how Dawn has a history with all the evidence, but it isn't real.)

So, every time Sineya dies, she gets a new life, until Xander changes things when he performs CPR on a dead Buffy.

Life continues much as canon until they find out about Dawn being the Key, when Buffy finds out that 'she' isn't real either. Plus, she starts getting more of the memories of the other Slayers, including Kendra and Faith. Because they are 'her.'

Well, that's pretty spooky. Could be very interesting, though.

I just got done with the first book so this is relevant to my interests. The monster types are a bit different but that has never stopped anyone before.

Well, MHI is thematically similar to BtVS in that they're both urban fantasies where the supernatural is primarily evil and the only real good supernaturals are those who've managed to forcibly turn that evil to good. MHI is a pretty Lovecraftian setting, which plays well with the fact that BtVS is as well under the surface. The fine details of both would need to be massaged to get them to actually work together though. Like, each has their own take on Vampires and Werewolves and so on, but that's a common problem when mixing two different horror/fantasy series.

thinkin' of a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure X-Over. since there is not enough JoJo fanfic period.

Starts out as a YAHF where Xander dresses as a Cheap Indiana Jones Rip-Off and ends up as Joseph Joestar. after the night he retains the Ripple and Hermit Purple and Memories up until the Reset in Stone Ocean. basically living Joseph's whole life including raising Shizuka Joestar and trying to be a father to Josuke.

in my idea Xander would teach as best he can The Ripple to the Scooby gang. also Hermit Purple's Spirit Vision would play up Xander as the One Who Sees.

I had thought up also Buffy's Stand (she's the only one of the Gang to see Purple Hermit. and she somehow develops a Stand.) a featureless vaguely woman humaniod shape basically think of Gort from the remake of the Earth Stood Still but feminine and half white half back straight down the middle.

the Base Stats would be Destructive: C, Speed: B, Range: C, Durability: B, Precision: B, Potential: A.
and would have two modes turning pure white or pure black with Stats going: E,A,A,A,A in White Mode and Stats for Black Mode be: A,D,E,C,A not including Potential. Can be Powered up temporarily if the Stand is Holding the Scythe. (Naming the Black Mode: Slayer, like the Band and it would be the manifestation of the Slayer Spirit).
it would also have a special power in Base and White Mode that allows her to see through her Stand's eyes and Teleport to where her Stand is. Basically she can set up her Stand as a quick Escape or use it to back stab enemies.

my Idea was to have very very few stands and stand users. also thought of some evil force bringing the Pillar Men in the Buffy Verse or at least a Version that never fought Joseph in order to try and kill the Scoobies.

well thats as far as I got.

Flat Uninspired and Insipid Yet Another Halloween based idea:
Xander doesn't want to celebrate Halloween, he manages to avoid the 'babysit children' scheme by Snyder and instead he gets to Babysit Dawn (because, yes i Like Dawn) because Joyce still has to go to whatever she went to in canon and Buffy got hoodwinked by Snyder.

the catch is that neither Dawn nor Xander are feeling the spirit of Halloween and as they are just going to veg in the summers house for the night they decide to buy two 'gag' costumes and Xander just buys a Shirt while Dawn feels mischievous and buys Two 'tiaras', one for her and one for Xander, who doesn't feel amused by it and just bends it to resembie an armband.

The Shirt?

the Tiaras?

yes Xander as Sora and Dawn as Shiro from no Game No Life, no special forces bullshit training, no supahpowah, not 'beyond mortal ken' or Mystical Magical Bullshit, Ãœber Technology or transhumanism for this guy, just pure freaking ingenuity for this guys

Had an SI idea for a while.  Still needs a fair bit of work:

Underpowered

I woke up on a sort of couch, in a room that looked like an ancient Roman temple made of crystal, with a large, red sun overhead.

"Wha- huh?" I boggled.

"Ah," said a voice, "you're awake.  Good."

I turned to see a man in a toga, whose body seemed to be facing away from me, but whose face was turned toward me.  Then he turned around, and there was another face, this one bearded, in front.

"What the hell?" I asked.  "Wait... Janus?!"

"Correct."

"This is not my usual sort of dream," I said.  "Of course, the fact that I can think of it as a dream may be an indicator that it isn't, which is worse.  Why am I here?"

"Because the people summoning you do not trust my priest as much as I'd hoped," he replied.  "They should have simply empowered Xander Harris."

"... why would people from the Buffyverse be summoning me?" I asked.

"Not you, specifically, but you're the one the summoning hit, with some direction from me," the god answered.  "As for why you, well..." he trailed off.

"I suggested it," said another voice.  I turned, and beheld a tall, bald, muscular, blue man... who nonetheless had my face.

"A- are you my future self?" I asked.  That was how these things went, wasn't it?

"From a possible future, though not one that I think will happen, he answered.  "The me that I had this conversation with was silver, and he claimed not to have met any future selves until much later.  We can be utter pricks, sometimes."

"Oh.  Great," I replied.  In hindsight, I wonder if he was keeping me from panicking, or if I was just shocked.  I hadn't even noticed that I'd stood up at some point.  "So, what happens, now?"

"You gain knowledge, and power, in preparation for your arrival," the god said.

"This is a moment stolen from the transition, and expanded," said the possible future me.  "Come, see the world you will soon remember," he continued, gesturing between the columns holding up the temple roof.

I stepped forward, and saw spread out before me a city of crystal and technology, surrounded by mountains and a strange forest.  "This... this is Krypton, isn't it?" I asked.  It certainly looked the way I imagined Krypton would, and under the circumstances, that would be something of an indicator.

"It is, yes," he replied.  "Unfortunately, you won't start out with nearly the level of power that such an origin would indicate."

(One of the early working titles was 'Nerfed Superboy SI.')

So, thoughts?

This is an idea I've been toying around with for a while now, but I need input before I can actually proceed.

It's a Buffy X-Over with Legends of Tomorrow (and the greater Arrow-verse to a lesser extent). A sample of what I have in mind can be found here.

What I'm looking for here, is a greater scope villain.

Given that Legends is part of the greater DC Universe, revolves around time travel and I want a magical big bad, some people have suggested I use Mordru. While not a bad idea, I'm not sold on it. What I have in mind is preferably, an omnipotent extra-dimensional being that exists outside of time, that due to the events that took place at the end of Season 2 of Legends is able to affect the flow of time. Much like Thawne, I want him recruiting and acting through intermediaries... Such as Mordru and Morgan le Fay and maybe even Klarion (which would mean cameos of the Legion of Superheroes and Jason Blood), perhaps even empowering them further.

Where the Buffy part of the Crossover comes in, is that the Legends have very little experience with magic. Having faced off against Damien Dahrk, not to mention the Legends having Vixen on their team, they do have some experience combating magic, but this is on a whole other level that they have never even contemplated, and thus they need help: Enter the post-Season 7 Scoobies (disregarding the comics).

Suggestions?

Time Trapper. He's a Legion of Super Heroes baddie like Mordru, but he's explicitly outside of time, and he's more of a fixed point of nastiness than anything else. Because his whole schtick is Time Travel his origins vary from appearance to appearance, but he's always this extremely powerful extra temporal badguy out to screw with history.

Nice. And since his origins vary from universe to universe, timeline to timeline, I can tweak him to suit my needs easily. Thanks!
