I thought there was a Random/Misc thread for BtVS, but I can't find it, so here's a new one.

Drusilla has an... anti-fatal encounter with a Mohra Demon. The now-human Dru, calling herself Edith, finds Xander having lunch at an outdoor cafÚ, because the stars told her he could help her.

So, how will Xander react to the no longer undead crazy lady?

How will Buffy react, if this is post-'I Will Remember You', so Angel refuses the chance to become human, and possibly tells her that he already gave it up once?

If its set earlier, when will you set it?

Season 3. And it occurs after Spike has separated from Dru over the Chaos Demon, but right before the events of "Lover's Walk", so that Spike rolls into town just in time to find out that Drusilla has become human again, and gotten back to Sunnydale first, and is fixating on Xander.

Still, if 'Edith' shows up early enough, at least she can head off Xander's upcoming romantic disaster with Cordelia re: Willow... and, given the law of conservation of chaos, replacing it with her own brand of disaster, yes. :p

Why heck, if she shows up early enough, she could be a problem for the gang at the same time they're dealing with crazy post-hell-dimension PTSD Angel! Won't that just cause mutual brain sprain. :)

The Episode where Faith awakens from her Coma & gets the item to switch bodies with Buffy.

Suppose she switches with someone else & no one learns of it till later?

I assume it will be a girl, unless she gets some kinky idea to be Xander.

Hmm, yes. I wonder if he'll try to apologise, and if she'll be willing to be anywhere near him, long enough for him to say anything.

Something goes even more wrong with the love spell in Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered: instead of girls perving on/stalking Xander, they start perving on and stalking Cordelia. Oops.

After being convinced to try out Pirates Online, the idea of a story starting with Xander as Jack Sparrow before the Acaltha incident ends up dumping him into some backwater planet in the Stargate universe around the time that SG-1 begins and him uncovering a Alteran ship and going a pirating across the galaxy

BtVS/A Certain Magical Index.

Superpowers through Science(!). Magic through Religion. Add Demons and Vampires as suitably inhuman targets. Shake. Sprinkle a touch of blonde cheerleader on top and serve.

Right so I was sifting through the endless trash on the internet looking for a few gems (and not finding any) when I came across a "Who's your family?" thread with Xander in mind.

Ya'll know the challenge, Give Xander (or another cast member) [a] different parent.

And I just though up one I haven't seen done yet and I blame this entirely on watching Dexter - I'd kinda imagined Xander would grow up having a rather disturbing duel personality, here we have happy go lucky Xander and on the flip-side we have someone who's a kindred spirit of Yuno Gasai.

Mayor Wilkins is Xander's father/grandfather.

:ph43r:

Tell me someone has written this? I really wanna read it.

IIRC, there's one where Wilkins adopted him, but I'm not sure of the author, title, or how far it got.

if it's the one I think it is, Xan ends up as a psuedo-nephophilic(psuedo as Wills is a Vamp), canabalistic serial killer. can't for the life of me rember the author's name or the story name though. if it helps, it's up at tth.

An AU where Xander and Jesse don't learn about Buffy being the slayer but learn about the supernatural in a different way and opt to keep Buffy and Willow in the dark, ironically, as the two girls do the same to them. Eventually, sometime much later, they envoke the power of Ceres to grow a load of super-weed and cue a humourous adventure where they try to prevent the munchies by heading to Doublemeat Palace completely stoked out of their minds...

Yeah... me and a couple of friends were getting drunk and watching Harold and Kumar go to Whitecastle and this was all I could remember thinking about.

After reading that.. All I could think about was Xander being Tuxedo Mask to Buffy/Willow's Senshi..ness...

Xander forced into Caesar's Legion in Fallout New Vegas. He'd be forced into joining them somehow. I'm not sure about much other than that.

It should be dark in tone and there would be plenty of opportunities for change here, mentally, emotionally, physically, as well as supernaturally. How would things like all of the mutagenic crap affect our oft possessed xanman? How would women as objects/slaves affect him when he's only ever seen them as equals and oftentimes superior in some aspect? What would willingly make Xander accept that him owning someone else is a good thing? Would he accept it in order to prevent someone from being destroyed in some manner (mentally, emotionally, etc)? How would the utter cheapness of human life in the fallout-verse affect him?

I had one idea where Faith ended up in Gothem as she was running away from the vamp that killed her first watcher.

She ended up right in the middle of the batman begins story arc. I thought it would have been an interesting thing to see.

Ugh that just makes me want to see Xander as an Assassin.

What if Faith was called instead of Kendra? This may not seem like much, but it could change a lot... Hell, this may make Faith not become a murderer.. And that was a big part of her development.. What else would be different?

Xander's father was not born Anthony Harris. He had a totally different name once upon a time that he changes to try to escape the madness that was his family's life after his parents, Xander's grandparent, were killed in freak accident. What was that name? Popeye Jr. Yes, drunken slob tony is Popeye and Olive's son form the SHort lived Popeye and Son cartoon from the 80's.

Now what would this change? Absolutely nothing until the aftermath of the fight with Caleb.

"Damn it kid, it wasn't supposed to be like this. You were supposed to grow up safe from the weird shit that followed our family around. I mean you barely even talk to Tank's kid Rigby because we're not rich like your Great Uncle Bluto was. Now look at you. If your forearms swelled up from eating that damned green swill you'd be a spitting image of your graddad and your great granddad. I suppose they'd be proud of you, too. God knowns you're more like my dad than I ever was. The man I couldn't stand to be. I guess being a one-eyed ass-kicker just skipped an generation or something," Tony Harris said as he spoke to the unconcious form of his son as he lay there in the hospital bed recovering from his fight with Caleb.

He didn't know what kind of scrap had taken his son's eye, but Tony had a good notion it was as horrible as his own father's "most terrible battle ever" that had claimed his father's eye before Tony had been born.

"I told that little redheaded friend of yours that I'm taking your mother and getting out of here kid. I guess I just can't stop running when the going gets tough. I know I wasn't much of a pop to you, I guess I take after Ol' Poopdeck in that, but I can give you one thing to help you along. Hopefully you can stand to ignore the taste of it the way your granddad did. I get the feeling you'll need it," Tony added before he stepped closer to his son and placed a large red and white can and a tattered book in his sleeping son's right hand.

"I do love ya', boy. I ain't no good at saying it, but I do. Now go make your family proud like I couldn't and show the palooka that did this what a real 'Eye can do," Xander's father said as he choked back a tear. Those were the last words Tony Harris spoke to his only son before leaving Sunnydale forever.

And when Xander awoke he would find a can with the bold black letter declaring it to be "SPINACH" and a worn book titled "The Journal of Popeye the Sailor Man" as the legacies of a family he never knew.

  Wow.. I.. I have no words for how awesome that is..

My only problem is that it seems kind of late in the series for any real development...

On a more darkly humorous situation, what if Buffy was set in the same world as Charby the Vampirate?

For some reason I see Spike and Charby having spent some time stuck in the same place and Spike hadn't pissed him off enough to get violent.

Of course, the Charby vamps (both varieties shown) seem to have something in place of their soul that does make them more human in nature than Buffy ones.

re Popeye: I agree that scene was awesome. The writing was top notch, and the content was engrossing.

What if Buffy failed to stop Glory, the barriers between dimensions were ripped asunder, and a megacrossover ensued?

Once the fabric of reality was ripped asunder, Zelretch realises what's happening, and uses his magic to assemble a team of archmages from the worlds rapidly blending into his own, and with their combined powers, they stabilize reality before it's all destroyed. Ed Greenwood, Elminster, Mordenkainen, and Raistlin, from the DnD worlds. Lofwyr, Ghostwalker, and Harlequin from Shadowrun. The Doctor. Doctor Strange. Autocthon. Vector Prime.

So, reality is stabilized, but are just getting started. Hordes of Tanarri and Baatezu are loose on Earth, and busily turning the world into the latest battlefield of the Blood War. Meanwhile, TITAN warmachines and Exsurgents are busily killing, uploading, and infecting people (and not always in that order). London is being torn apart by a force of Nazi vampires. Every sort of Gundam is waging their war of space people vs Earth people. Fortunately, heroes have arrived as well. The Exalted. The Justice League. The Justice Society. The Avengers. The Technocracy. Firewall. The Counter Force. The Slayer.

Conflict is hardly limited to Earth, either; the Green Lanterns don't look kindly on interstellar empires, and come down on the Shiar, Kree, Skrull, Ori, and Galactic Empires like a ton of bricks; Tarkin is not amused when the Death Star's superlaser is blocked by a Green Lantern's power ring when he fires it at Alderaan. The Ori are a somewhat harder fight, being godlike energy beings.

Throw in a bit more conflict between the local forces of the United Federation of Planets, the assorted warring Gundam factions, the Earth Alliance, and the assorted Eclipse Phase factions as well for some action in the Earth's local, and radically changed, neighboorhood. Not only has the Earth acquired Eberron's dozen moons and ring system, but Cybertron, Autocthon, and Malfeas hang in the sky like metallic moons.

I'm not sure what to actually do with this setting, but it'd probably make a kickass roleplaying setting.
