Bitches be stealing my lizards. And not even including the fun stuff about hating white.

I'll wait for more things to react to, not any point to posting now.

I mentioned nothing about any colors of any kind.

So that you still could.

Because honestly, when you have something that is spreading everywhere, you don't want the demonic version ALSO spreading everywhere.

I just made it a dinosaur to keep your thing mostly in.

We don't want a deathworld dammit.

Sorry, I had a busy weekend organizing and running a gaming session.

It went horribly. Fun, but horrible.

I'll try to get something posted soon.

I was waiting for some more reactions, but I will think and post something. I think we will need to create a domain list and perhaps a 'created things' list.

There's really nothing to do. The thing I was going to do got hijacked, and it is just petty to modify another god's creatures. Otherwise, there's very little that interests me at the moment about the game. It's a little cloying to write three paragraphs and never get any kind of response.

If it makes you feel any better I was already thinking of doing something about the devilsong right after you posted it, I'd just already used my turn.

After you posted I just made what I used dinosaurs instead of... I think they were chickens, because everything's funnier with chickens.

Wildfeather, what you have mostly done, has not effected Helka yet, at least nothing that I created. I will have to go over the thread, I think some unexpected changes will happen with my creations.

Alright, built a moon for us, to serve as a platform for when we "retire" to a more passive role in the world. Somewhere to play godly games and give quests to mortals, and all that stuff.

Giving a heads up now, I'm going to flesh out the ecosystem in a few turns, more diversity, so if you have any specific plants/ basic herbivores, this is the time to create them, before the slots all get filled up with generic plants and animals.

Vex, do you think we should up the number of actions per turn? Seems people are getting impatient, and there aren't as many players as I'd hoped.

I'm very reluctant to increase the number of actions per turn honestly. I had imagined that if people started getting impatient we could make turns go by more quickly but... as is clearly evident by this most recent turn, that wouldn't be a proper solution either.

The problem is a bit more fundamental. Because really what would increasing the number of actions per turn even do? Let someone take a marginally larger step forward only to be forced to wait precisely as long for everyone else to do anything in response?

I don't think it is the number or actions we can take that is limiting us. For me personally, I don't want to post unless I have something interesting to submit. Anyone can make a move and add to the world, but when I move I want it to be flavorful, unique, and inspired. As close to original as I can get it without being contrived. That is one part.

The other is a bit of role confusion. What do our domain mean? Do they limit us, so that I should not be creating life, or are they just the things we are best at?

I consider domain to be an area that you rule over. So unless you take over more domains, and there is certainly plenty left, try and do things that benefit your domain, or at least show how the actions/new domains are connected.
It should limit you somewhat, for example I am going to modify life, but not create it, and only related to water.

I originally thought the dominions should be used to inform your actions but not limit them.

To put it in DnD terms, your Dominion is your alignment, not your class.

I posted. I made some magical prism cats, called Helkat which are made of ice and are carnivores in icy terrain. As a tribute to you, Helka. It also started the trend in intelligence among species, because these are delineated who hunt in packs of 7. They are crystalline, and each manifests a color of the rainbow, with hue being how you can tell gender. I felt like it would be a little much to also decide how they worked (huning, social order, etc) so I left that up to later. Also didn't do any cosmic laws this time, dice I spent so much time making the Helkats. They're naturally the predators of the reptile herbivores (get it? Ice cats are cold, which sucks the heat out of reptiles, making them easier to catch) and just about anything else.

How far does the ice go? I'm assuming that even though several of us are working on a small scale (one plant, one creature grouping, etc.) That these changes are also manifesting across the realm. So do we have an ice world at the moment?

Hmm, if they've gotten to the ice by now they should have spread everywhere, which means their adaptoid thing should have shut off.

Otherwise...

Probably something like fire breath or something.

The adaption thing was supposed to make them just be able to go wherever they needed to eat the devilsong plants, and any of the normal ones, but mostly the devil song, it's like their favorite or something.

It would also however, cover stuff trying to eat them, so they could adapt to not be eaten.

But if they've gone from the continent to the ice they should have achieved the "spread everywhere" parameter.

So that should have shut off.

I have planned a large, but not fully covering ice, but it is located in one spot. Perhaps you can create a rule/law that permit changes that have been made at one place happen on another similar place.

I thought about it, but that seems a little toxic. If the whole world is covered by ice, that's cool. We can eventually thaw it and allow for world-building as the ice melts. If the entire world is the same pattern expressed across a vast landscape, it wouldn't be as interesting, I think.

I've been struggling to make a new cosmic law anyway. There's still my idea of "Everything is food for something." which may be implemented at some point in the near future, but other than that i've been drawing a blank for something unique to include in this world.

Hm, I had wanted to wait for foreverzero to post again, since I did sort of mess with his mountain and whatnot.

Ah well, guess I'll move us forward a turn and try and shake things up some more.

I viewed them more as a record of things you've done. Just letting people know where you spend most of your time.

Sorry, I was mostly internet free over the weekend, since I was up in Vancouver for an MTG Grand Prix. I tried using the hotel's internet but it was garbage. I'll be posting something up shortly.

Edit: And thus, Australia is no more! Now there is only Indonesia! My next work whenever the new turn pops up will likely be to make a new continent, and since I'm sure you meddling <s>kids</s> gods will likely do your fiddling there as well, I also have plans for a third some time in the distant future, though that is neither here nor there. I'll have to find a way to make the new continent more spiffy than the last, to show up all you posers. =P

Am I the only one who thought this?

Heramont saw all the other gods were playing in his sand box so he wrecked up the place. After he calmed down, he thought to himself for a second.

Those pesky kids and their rotten dog messed up my lawn! Well screw them, ill make a new lawn-a better lawn! With gambling! And hookers!

/finished channeling Bender.

That was kind of the intent I was going for. I figure Heramont will be an old school Greek styled god, petty and selfish and prone to temper tantrums when he doesn't get his way.

It is also this, quite obviously.

Space Dragons.

That Fly through Space and live in/on the Sun.

That are pretty much mini gods.

Aoradah is going to learn the hard way why you don't make Mary Sue's that are awesome at everything.
