Yeah, that's not going to end well.

Still, will make for a nice excuse to create sentient races. Cannon fodder.

Or I suppose we could make them first, and have them oppressed/enslaved by the dragons...

See how it plays out I guess.

I am currently thinking on what to do, probably will post monday.

Bit busy with a friend having a birthday party in two parts over the weekend.

And nice move with the living planet. :)

It's mainly just making it geologically active. I haven';t given it sentience or free will or anything.

Yet.

Should we start discussing how phase two should work? Once we get the broad strokes of the world how we like it, how would things progress from there?

Edit: Summation of the world so far:

-Sun, Moon, and Planet
-Ocean has Currents
-Stars ar ehomes to angels, and radiate mild anti-evil aura. Not enough to incapacitate/kill, but enough to be painful/distracting.
-Continent built, then destroyed. Now an archepelago, with mountain still standing approximately at the center. Mountaintop holds the Well of Time
-Yellow plants on land, sea and air, purple kelp
-Evil shattered meteor, scattered across Delsinum and in orbit.
-Magical Northern Ice Cap(?)
-Corruption eating lizards. Eats other plants too.
-Ice based carnivores called Helkats.
-Giant Birds, called Xenra (Unsure of their exact powers/abilities)
-Sun Dragons, sentient and free willed
-Delsinum made geologically active

Let me know if I missed/minunderstood anything. I integrated some things together to make it more streamlined.

Edit2:
I'm a little surprised no one else has made their own planets or anything. Then again, we've got a lot of free play right now anyways, so no need to expand the sandbox at the moment.

I intended the Xenra to fill a mythological niche similar to the usual Dragons. Very powerful, but also very rare and elusive when they wish to be.

In terms of what they're actually capable of, you may want to think along the lines of a legendary pokemon. They're a little less brutish than the standard Dragon. They're about comparable in size though being around the size of a damn house or a bus. They're also physically strong enough on their own merits to be troublesome. Able to fly, rip large animals apart with their talons and/or beak, potentially uproot trees, etc.

Of course on the more supernatural aspect of them, they do have special if ill-defined vision. It may just be unusually acute, but it could also potentially have supernatural aspects to it. The ability to perceive fate? death? Who knows?

More pressingly however they do possess the ability to warp time. They can easily alter the flow of time around themselves as well as fling themselves through it.

At the moment however they are clever but not sentient, so they aren't able to readily abuse these abilities to their fullest extent. The most you'll probably get out of them is very simple short-term usage. IE: manipulating time to help themselves escape a fight or to help determine one.

And honestly I've been tempted to make another planet, but I've always felt there were things much more worthwhile to do at the moment. Maybe later.

Maybe I should just move us forward a turn? I was waiting on Gwyll but... been half a damn week already.

Moving forward would probably be best, since Gwyll was supposed to post two days ago.

Maybe I'll make a new continent...

Make a continent. Someone blew up the first one, s we might as well get a new one if you don't have anything in mind.

Been having trouble lately, with a state wide power outage and internet issues, sorry bout that.

And the zenra can pretty much take the mythological dragon spot.

The Dragon's themselves kind of live on the Sun.

And don't know Delsinum even exists at the moment.

Their bullshit strong and could FLY to Delsinum, it's just kinda... Well, on the sun it's to bright to see Delsinum and it's so TINY in the sky anyway, like a spec of dust.

Once they get spread out, big and organized they will most likely start flying around space, but with them living on a SUN that ill take a few hundred thousand years at least.

They also probably won't get far at all on the tech side of things.

Living on the sun and all, there's nothing to make tech from.

Well, there are still the numerous isles floating around, so it isn't like there isn't land at the moment. Though if someone does make another continent, Heramont is gonna try and one up it somehow. :sisi:

How long does a turn last in game anyways? I'm currently going with one hundred or one thousand years, simply so things have plenty of time to play out and develop on their own. Isn't really important, but a point of reference would be nice.

For the moment I've been assuming that the turns are actually quite short. Around the length of a literal day.

It seems sensible that we would linger on periods of time where THINGS are happening, such as the beginning of time, then skip forward every now and then.

Edit: Decided to just do nothing for this turn, although I do have something planned for next.

So there's a second continent now. I figure the first was around the size of Australia, while this one is closer to Asia, but dominated by volcanic mountains.

Sorry for being away, it was a busy week. I will review the world, and will post something this weekend.

Alright, so I've begun creating a new "God" in the form of Delsinum, and to prevent potential gamebreaking, here's a ruling on it, provided it meets with Vex's approval as well.

-Creating a powerful being is allowed. However, you cannot use it to gain additional turns/actions. You can use it, but it would require your "influence" or cooperation.

Basically, it exists as an independent entity that sits around doing nothing unless you spend your turn to work with it. For now anyways.

Delsinum's soul is basically a collection of all the life on the planet, plus her own divine awareness. Currently, this means she acts as the afterlife, and if someone creates an afterlife, as the gate to the afterlife. Every living thing that dies passes through her and gives her a part of its essence.

Friendly warning: In about two turns, I'm going to diversify the life forms on the planet, which means we'll have a myriad of lizards, and felines. If you want to make any of those, do it now.

Edit: Summary of Divine beings Made as a reference/for fun, so any additional domains named here have no impact on the game. Domains are listed based on actions, rather what was stated. Only change because of this was Aarik/Aoradah from Light to Night/Stars. Feedback/expansion on your god and their relations is welcome and appreciated.

How did I go from the God of Light to the God of Night?

I made the stars because it was to damn dark.

I mean, the only other big LIGHT'y thing I could really do that doesn't involve raining down lasers is making the sun, but we already had one of those.

If my domain is under attack, time to get to work.

Now, what the hell can I do to maintain my Light domain...

Also I actually was planning on making a sort of afterlife.

If you read Aoradah's description you'll note the thousand infinite cities thing.

Essentially he was going to just invite anyone who wanted to come live on his body instead of whatever other thing.

EDIT: The jury is in.

Heramont made plant's, Zevras spread them everywhere, I made herbivorous dinosaurs to eat the devilsong plants and they evolved to eat the normal ones to, they also spread everwhere, so now we have flying dinosaurs, sea dino's, desert dino's, arctic dino's... Possibly Lava Dino's now...

Then Jeth made arctic cat things to eat the arctic Dino's.

So what's eating all the other ones? Other then maybe the Xenra.

Give me a minute, gotta work out some stuff.

EDIT2: BEHOLD.

SHARKS EVERYWHERE.

EVERY.

WHERE.

Except the arctic.

Specifically, ones based on this.

Also note, they are all pack hunters. Even the flying ones.

I HAVE CREATED DEATH MONSTERS AND BIO-LUMINESCENT COMMUNICATION, FEAR ME.

Maybe I'll make them use their electro receptors to shoot lightning or something later.

I already know I'm gonna make the sea dwelling ones like electric eel's.

I still have to see about making some life. I'm not quite sure what just yet, but I think it'll be a sapient species simply because Heramont wants something around to glorify him. That, or some other type of predator or a deathtrap plant. Something to get rid of all the annoying pests infesting his new creation. :p

I called you god of Night because you made the stars (primarily associated with night) and made them home of your angels. Like I said, this is mostly my perception based on game posts, nothing solid like a GM ruling or anything.

As for the Selachii, I'd recommend swapping the lights for psychic connection, at least for the Earth/Sand/Volcano versions, since the lights won't be too effective for them.

Yeah, but then I have psychic lava sharks running around.

You can just consider the lights some superfluous bits left over, like how humans still have some of our old third eyelid.

Fine by me, but keep in mind that they'll most likely develop into lone predators instead of the pack hunters you intended. Hard to work together when you can't communicate/see each other.

Of course, this probably means they'll just be bigger and meaner than their counterparts.

The earth ones do spend some time above ground, looking for places to dig and such, the sand ones... They'd probably still be pack hunters, if only because their wouldn't be much to eat in the desert, they just wouldn't be as unified as the rest.

The Lava Ones don't need to eat really, so have no reason to be pack hunters. Eating is like a recreational activity or whatever for them, they like doing it, but it's unnecessary.

For them it would be more akin to just having a bunch all living in the same volcano.

Does anyone else know of any pack animals that hunt in the desert? I sure don't.

I see that interacting with the other gods was a bad idea. Jking of course, but i'll try to be patient.

Just to be clear, do the stars still exist or are they gone now?
