I do not recognize this series, and the URL doesn't narrow it down enough.

For some reason, I like the whole evil Reverse!Pines thing

Me too honestly, even if I'm not sold on the Gideon as the hero bit. I think ultimately it comes down to the concept of twin competent enemies against two significantly less competent leads is highly intriguing. The two foes, properly allied, could cover each other's own shortcomings well and ultimately become that much more formidable, while the two leads would ultimately have to play to their individual weaknesses and work them against each other to even stand a chance. I could dig something like that.

And really design wise they just look incredibly badass to boot. :snigger:

Nobody asked for it... But hey maybe I can sort of inspire a writer and maybe we all get a fic about reverse pines...

Well first the AU isn't well defined, to some Mabel and Dipper varely tolerate each other, for others they are true companion in a varely disernible evil plan, and in some works they get very close to incest territory (I don't mind but to some people that is squeek worthy) In some works they actually are psychos who kill Gideon and torture Pacifica (in one Mabel ripped Pacifica's eyeball).

Also Pacifica and Gideon need some work (I don't want Gideon as a hero) in some they are family in others they're best friends.

Personally I prefer where they are smug and hyper competents antagonists, not psychos, Dipper would be a very good Lelouch. Well rant over here are the img

That is the issue. I like the Pines as villains, but no matter how I shift it I can't see Gideon as a good kid.

My first read about the Rev!Pines universe was this-

Which kinda makes sense to me, in the sense of the two being halves of a whole, even more so considering how...close these two are sometimes shown to be. They have each others reigns, but the purity of their essence makes them all the more dangerous, especially if the other is threatened. Really, the only suitable opposition I can think of for the Pines is...really, the Pines, some horrible accident with the portal or some mess brought about by Bill, it would be strange to see.

That said, I'd also heard another interesting idea that the Rev!Pines are still actually good people, good-hearted performers and mages who like to show off, but have to constantly clean up the messes left behind when Gideon gets in over his head trying to impress Mabel, while the superstitious small town folk think nothing but the worst of them.

Hmmm ok Idea 1 The Reverse Pines conquer the world and are very evil and the like, Pacifica gets around them and uses their Bill to get anyone who can defeat them across the worlds and she gets Original Pine twins, maybe plus Gruncle etc... At the end the Mabel and Dipper original manage to over maneuver the reverse Pines and free the world, we get a last shot were the evil twins are in prison for psychics or something?

Idea 2 They are not evil just very creepy and actually dangerous but they don't go killing people for sport, their world is invaded by evil Bill and they must stop it joining forces with Gideon and Pacifica

Idea 3 Like the start idea they are evil, but Dipper and Pacifica start to conect and Mabel doesn't like it, Dipper goes along with Mabel but doubts start to pile on him, I don't know at the end Pacifica manage to convince even Mabel and they stop the destruction of the world?

See I like the headcanon where it was Dipper, messing with the second volume with Mabel unleashed something horrible and got her possessed, and in order to keep her sane had to sort of do a mind melding thing to keep it in check, effectively reducing her psychotic tendencies to nominal levels compared to what it could be while also altering Dipper in a similar way. Also explaining both having a connection to that telekinetic gem thingy in a more interesting way.

And with the two as one so to speak he's still sane enough to desperately find a way to fix what he caused. And then of course if some bumbling fool breaks that connection they have (IE: Gideon), we get treated to Eldritch God Mabel as both Gideon and Dipper desperately try to reestablish the connection before she starts causing serious damage and becomes too far gone.

I'm not sold on Reverse Pines. Not yet, at any rate.

The Antigravity Falls, however is something I can approve of.

But I might have a terrible idea for a fic...

There's a Sailor Moon fic here....I mean Star's actually good in a stand up fight....she just has everything else to learn ...and who better for her to learn from than the Original Magical Girl.

I'd pay top dollar for a miniseries about Steven's early years. Seeing Pearl go crazy would be funny but seeing Greg and the Gems try to raise him would be wonderful.
