Challenge on continuing Shadow's Rebirth. 4 pts.

before anything, the series hasn't been updated in 3 years, so I'm issuing a 4 part challenge for y'all to try.
1) Write the last chapter(s) to finish the current arc. including whose Chaos Emerald it is and the affects it has on them. (clues were already given on whom it is)(Shadow and Knuckles are excluded for obvious reasons if you read it)
2) Create incarnations for some of the Sonic cast to be introduced in other arcs. DO NOT use any of the cartoon series charas like Sonia & Bonnie Rabbot. (sonic underground/ Saturday sonic) crossover origins ok if it fits. ie no Evangellion for a chara not from the future. Also, don't use the same name another writer uses for yours (Ex. tikal's from sonic wind by ranko saotome) or alter their personality too much without a good reason in their origin.
I have an idea for a future arc that'll use certain SM gems as part of a later arc involving Silver's appearance and the Sol Emeralds affinity. I may choose from them who are the sol guardians.
Try to stay within the current games, but not secret rings, unless you do a sidestory for Recca Hana.
3) Set up locations/ Time periods for the locations of the last 4 Emeralds.
4) Don't kill off the main cast. I think Xen-Oh wanted Genma as Dr. "Eggman" Robotnik from some hints near the end.
I'll divulge to those who ask what I'm thinking for the Sol Emerald ark's plot. Do try and not bring in Blaze the cat or Silver the Hedgehog if you can. as they'll be part of the Sol arc cast.

I've requested Bast and AA to join in also to see if some of the legends will put their hands into it. who knows, some may pop up here to return to the fans.

A lot of people liked Xen-Oh's story. some of the writers even complemented it as an excellent read. whether you liked them or not is your opinion, but people like them.

I have tried for a few months last year to contact him, but absoulutely no replies were given. also he dissappeared from AA so that makes it harder for contact. if you can get a reply where I couldn't then go ahead. if you want to insult me like a monty python frenchmen, i'll return the favor with the trout dance. p.s. others also tried to contact him with no luck.

Technically it isn't plagiarism in this case with the challenge. Copying the existing work is, but continuing someone else's work isn't. A continuance fanfic of a fanfic is quite the same thing, a bit rude to do it without permission, but not plagiarism. However, it isn't quite as rude with the author being out of contact.

correct, and as I stated before, I have tried to contact him. last try was just after I set this challenge. no replies from anyone to him was given since his last chappie was posted. do you think I'd be a moron and set a challenge to plagerize? This is to continue his series. plus, if you didn't read, part of the challenge was to create reincarnates of the charas not in it yet without plagerizing another's charas in their fics, such as ranko saotome's "Sonic Wind" incarnates for Cream or Tikal. did anyone fully read the challenge? it stated everything there including the length of time since last update, the fact i and others did try contact, and the lack of a reply. geeze. READ THE FULL CHALLENGE BEFORE ACCUSATIONS ARE MADE.

No more so than what we do on this site all the time with fanfics. As long as it isn't a copy of what is already done and credit is given, there isn't anything wrong with it.

Just be willing to stop if asked by the writer of the original fanfic. Treat the original fanfic as source material the same way you would with the published works.

zeebee1, almost all fanfiction is unauthorized anyway, there is no theft of plagiarism involved unless you directly copy someone else without permission. Utilizing characters and settings is fair game, taking everything isn't.

ZB1, since you are so ANAL on this even after I stated on multiple posts that I've tried contact, then here's a personal challenge: Find Xen-oh, and have him personally send a reply on this site one way or another. you have 1 week and to make sure it's really him, I'll ask a 3 part question only both he and I know on a piece I did for him. If it's him and he doesn't want this challenge, I'll retract this and let hawk decide my account's fate. otherwise, you apologize on this thread for accusing me of setting up a plageristic challenge. This was set for the fans of SR who've been waiting about 3 years for the promised updates. agreed? :rant: :flameon:

Personally I agree with Zeebee1. The same thing happened over at DarkLordPotter, and we all know about them.

If I remember correctly it was Tridentwatch (shudder) who wanted to continue a story, and they rightly got angry over it.

However as zeebee1 said, I'm not touching this topic again.
