Chapter 74 is finally out. Its scanlated over at mangahelpers.

Spoiler:

Galatea is back. Even more shocking, she's blind. We have no idea how it happened, but it has boosted her ability to sense youma drastically. It is very possible that she's equal to what Teresa could do in that area. She can even sense the power of the two hunting her, despite them taking the drug that hides their power.

Anyway, I'm glad that the story seems to be going again.

Heh, I was expecting the chapter to be scanlated this weekend, since I learned that it restarted on Nov 2 in the new Jump Square (I was all "yay! wahoo!" about that).

It's a monthly magazine, so it's gonna be sad that we only see chapters once a month, though.

Still, I'm also definitely glad to see the manga is back and updating, even if it's not my preferred weekly pace for a manga fix. Monthly is just better than nothing, right?

I tried reading this manga a while back and I just hated the art style so I didn't go past chapter five or something like that.

Just read chapter 78. We finally see Claire's group get serious. Even the weaker members were able to contribute in a fight against a former #2 Awakened Being. And Miria and Claire are apparantly way above the others. We got to see Claire show off a bit too, which was great.

Wow. This new chapter is pretty awesome. Youma created by the Organization? The land that the Claymores are on being some research island? The first part was sort of expected but damn, that second came from out of nowhere.

Oh right, you can find it here.

I actually expected that the Orginization was controlled by Yoma, using the Claymores to stay in control.

This is better. A similar premise that sets up the orginization as the enemy, but also leaves room for further plot.

I dunno if I'd say it's better.

Now we have to deal with a war lasting hundreds (tens, at least) of years using terrible weapons. The logistics, the attrition boggle me.

It definitely is a good idea, it uses what I imagine alot of people expected, but it still leaves room for further exploration.

80 is out at onemanga. All I have to say is, yes. Raki is back, and he's kickass. I wonder who's the girl he's travelling with though. Pricilla, or perhaps a daughter maybe. She's either a Claymore or a Youma, since she can sense them. Raki seems to be still human as well, considering it seems he can't.

Its certainly a good chapter, but it seems strange. Raki was able to kill off a yoma without any real trouble, but he doesn't seem able to sense them. A very small amount of yoma flesh in him, something Isley did, his bodies been trained way beyond anything the guards in the city could do? Then theres the matter of the sword and armor, how'd he get access to those metals?

Priscilla is probably the little girl. Obvious, I know but someone had to say it. Raki's attachement to Clare make the possibility of the little girl being his daughter a small one overall.

I would go towards the "trained to the peak of Human ability and beyond" thing for the reason he was able to dispatch the Youma so easily. He has the determination and Isley has the experience to make it possible.

Althought having a small part of Youma inside him would be an interesting option.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Hmm... well, I'm on the fence. I agree with DGF that the little girl is Pricilla; the friend he's watching her for is probably Isley.

But... does he know they're Awakened Beings? If yes, then he could very well have Yomi flesh (or Awakened Being Flesh!) in him; but Isley's methods aren't necessarily the same as the organizations, so his powers and limitations might be different. For all we know, he's made so that he can't awaken.

But if not, if he doesn't know, then that implies that Isley would have to have some other explination for why he knows how to put monster flesh in humans.

On the other hand, maybe the continous exposure to Yomi energy has affected him; it could have "leaked" in and improved him, Ichigo-style.

I wonder if Isley and Pricilla still eat humans.

I guess we just have to wait until chapter 81 comes out in July.

*sigh*

Edit: I still think this Dragon-war business is silly!

On another note:

Spoiler

The little girl is indeed Priscilla who regressed to child like state due years without eating human guts a move im sure she did for Rakis sake. Although Raki comments she is at her limit of how lomg she can hold her urges

Also the org has a new eye to replace Galatea and Riful is going to get her.

Aaaand 81 is translated and up on Mangafox and Onemanga, though the page order is fucked on mangafox.

And Raki is totally badass.

Whats strange is that the Claymore suggested that it wasn't odd for humans to be able to fight Yoma when the events the first time in that holy city showed the guards barely able to slow a Yoma down.

I imagine it's not all that different than being in the army reserves versus being delta force.
Sure, you have similar job descriptions, but one is much better than the other.

Basically, humans who are trained to be awesome enough to take on yoma can, while those who are trained to be awesome enough to uphold the law amongst normal humans... can't.

Besides, both Youma in the city of Rabona were noted to have been very strong: one, high-end normal Youma that caught most of its prey by surprise (remember, as far as we know, the most guards it faced off with frontally was two, the ones we get to know. Against a bunch more, maybe it wouldn't have done as well); the other, the former number 2, I believe, who awakened. It's no surprise to me, really, that they would have some problems.

Plus, against the awakened one, they came really, really close to offing it. The only reason they didn't was a really unfortunate "whoops, wrong target" moment.

Hmm, i just read chapter 81. I don't know if i read it wrong (or too fast >.<) Its seems that Raki still to stubborn about accepting/allowing gritty truth. As he would not allow Priscilla to eat human flesh even if she ends up eating his own.
Well thats the only thing that made me twich in the chap. Everything else it awsome.

I think Raki's point of view wasn't so much denying uncomfortable truths as not letting them harden him.

That is, he's resolved to still be kind to strangers, even if they tend to secretly be yoma.

It seems to me that he doesn't care if he gets eaten or not, as long as he sees Clare before he dies. And that's just awesome.

Prisci is his friend and he understands how much she is suffering hopefully when does eat Raki if she does then she only eats him and not several towns like when she first awakened.

all though claire raki meeting with prisci tagging along could cause problems.
