Even in R2 his lack of stamina is contradicted so often by actual events that it ceases to make sense. Lelouch mentions it himself during first or second EP and after that there's only the infamous chase gag. But despite how poor his stamina is supposed to be Lelouch has no problem sprinting distances in rest of the series. For example, when Kallen's dynamic entry interrupts the moment between him & C.C., Lelouch managed to sprint several dozen meters and get inside the cockpit in seconds. There are dozens of other examples that contradicting the allegation that it's lot more reasonably to assume that particular weakness was one of the false memories implanted to him by Charles.
I'd like to blame lazy writing but despite the amount of flak R2 gets nothing there can top how bullshit Mao's survival was. And if they had that kind of miraculous healing technology around that allowed them to treat illegal alien with multiple gunshot wounds without problems, why weren't they used on Euphemia?

And with Britannia being uber douche nozzles, no one's creating a cure for cripples. Darwinism and all that.
They make mechs to conquer and oppress but if there were some sort of disable cure, no one out of who got paid for it would get it.
