So, since there didn't seem to be a thread for this, here we go.
First up! Scrivener, our new friend, has updated his Marvel/Prototype crosssover Variant Strain.

Wait, but I'm sure there was a thread for this. I remember posting updates on it on the old forum.

No matter. Everybody Loves Spidey updated sometime this morning. They're all a series of one-shots, and terribly sappy besides, but I'm a bit of a closet romantic, so I thought I'd put it here.

Also, Transistor updated a couple of weeks ago. Given that I love zombies, and I kind of like Herman Schultz and his stubborn refusal to die/give up in the comics, it seems like a bit of a fait accompli that I'd like this a lot. The link is here

For some reason while everyone loved Polarity people tend to ignore the sequel.

Which is a terrible shame, given that I think Transistor is a stronger fic in a lot of ways. More character interaction and less monologue, for one.

I'll be the first to say that I found this story by chance, I personally despise yoai fics and the writer seems to be such a writer from what the synopsis of his other stories have in them. If I'd come across them first, I'd have never given this one a chance.
In the story he said that there will be no such pairing, so, hopefully he'll be true to his word.

Fortunately, something that apparently is not intended to be permanent.

Note - I hit a major case of writer's block with "Transistor," as in three months worth of it, and realized that I had written myself into a corner and didn't have a way out of it. It's been pulled down for rewrites and repairs.

You know when I saw Transistor had been removed I immediately thought that must by why. From what I recall the deck was really stacked against Shocker and Co.

It was immediately after the modern Kara Zor-El became a thing that existed. She WAS touted by multiple characters as stronger than Superman, but eventually it came out that she wasn't, it was just that he held back a lot more than she did because he knew how to. As for the whole deception thing? I believe there was some talk of brainwashing and exposure to black kryptonite split off an evil part of her that wore a black supergirl costume and claimed to be programming from Zor-El to do evil stuff or something. Nothing ever came of it that I recall, but my memory isn't the best for this particular franchise.
