The meeting was specifically with Stan Lee and not just Disney, so it's a Marvel Character and not SW related.

Here are the "hints" she's posted on her twitter account. Judging from the pics it's Death and not Captain Marvel. I'd rather see Captain Marvel myself, but the red part looks a bit too fleshy to be part of a Captain Marvel costume and has what looks like a scar on it, plus the veil also strongly suggests Death and not Carol.

It seems like they'll be using something similar to this look for Death.

I'm also fairly certain they wouldn't be letting her do this for an unannounced film like Captain Marvel. Death is kind of a side character and probably won't have much of a role so I buy them letting her do this a lot more for that part.

I also think that while she'd be great as Carol, that they'll almost certainly cast someone younger for that part. She's 34 now and while I think she could pull it off myself, I don't think that the studio is going to cast a woman that old for that type of role. It will probably be a multiple picture deal when they do, and I don't think they're going to want a 40 year old woman playing Carol in future films. They'll be thinking ahead and cast someone in her twenties.

Her fourth clue was that it wasn't related to Marvel... >_<.

Unless that was a misdirection.

Well fuck. I doubt it was tossed in just to throw us off.

Probably Star Wars then.

I doubt it's the as yet untitled Adi Shankar "Female Expendables" film she's confirmed to be involved with. He's an indie director and doesn't work for Disney, that's the only other thing I know about that she's involved with. Pam Grier and Linda Hamilton are also rumored to be involved. Looking forward to that. So far Adi Shankar has been awesome.

It might be none of the above and some other unannounced Disney feature.

Maybe one of the rumored SW spinoff films? There's a bunch of rumors going about involving those. A Yoda Film is rumored as well as one centering around Boba Fett. If that is the case she might not be playing someone post Episode VI.

Given the clues and the meeting with Stan Lee Death seemed the best guess, but now this tosses a wrench in that.

If it's a SW character she seems to think it's someone fans would know, so I'm gonna guess Mara Jade might be making the cut from the EU. They've said EU isn't cannon, but that doesn't mean they can't pull a character out of the EU either.

Then again, she's a bit young for that considering Luke is going to be in his 50s. Not impossible, but I don't buy that just yet.

Maybe Ahsoka [a makeup disguise would explain her face under the veil looking human] or one of the characters from SW Rebels? It's confirmed Ahsoka and Obi-Wan will show up in Rebels and may survive through IV-VI in hiding.

There's no telling and there aren't a lot of options if it's a SW character that isn't new.

1: YES! YES! Awesome.

2: Love how the writer of the article keeps referring to Billy as 'Shazam', rather than 'Captain Marvel'. Given that Marvel's probably already filed a copyright on CM for a film title (or however it's done), I'm not that surprised.

When did Lucius Fox have a kid, and when the hell did she become part of the Bat-Family?

Random phantom.
Seriously, that's way too long for 'Donald Duck as Batman vs. Green Lantern enemies' as a concept to be imported.

Graphic Novelist Blake Leibel accused of torturing and murdering his girlfriend before draining her body of all blood. He wrote the GN Syndrome, a story about extracting the literal root of all evil from the minds of serial killers which “grappled with the questions surrounding what provokes a person to commit evil acts.”
... well, that's a thing. I feel sorry for their kid, at least, and the poor woman who was killed. Not enough information to say whether he did it.

and here a 7-pages preview
https://issuu.com/idwpublishing/docs/duckavenger_00-pr

yeah, not much text in said preview. It DOES suggest a different tone from the average Disney comic...

Please note how this issue was a total risk experiment, so the style is still somehow a classic "in-house" Disney Italia style. The art- ans writing-styles would rapidly evolve over the next few issues.

This series is still infamous among the police forces due the amount of people caught taking showers in public phone booths because of it. You should have been there. Th TVTropes page just doesn't make the totally awesome bullshit Editorial Team any justice.

Also: #2 will be PKNA #0/2. You'll have to wait for around two years(or more, depending how often it will be published) for #0/1 if they follow the original publishing order.

Alan Moore announces his retirement from comics

... After he writes the last League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, and a couple other projects... He might of jumped the gun here...

Also, he hates superheros:
"The superhero movies – characters that were invented by Jack Kirby in the 1960s or earlier – I have great love for those characters as they were to me when I was a 13-year-old boy. They were brilliantly designed and created characters. But they were for 50 years ago. I think this century needs, deserves, its own culture. It deserves artists that are actually going to attempt to say things that are relevant to the times we are actually living in. That’s a long-winded way of me saying I am really, really sick of Batman."

Huh, I didn't realize Valiant was still a thing. I just thought they had quietly folded or something after the Deathmate series/Amalgamation with Image, or they got bought up by the same. But, no, they got movies coming out and stuff, man. Whodathunk?

...well, it's under Sony and Tom Rothman's leadership, so, it remains to be seen how it fares, but still, Valiant on the big screen... who's next, Mark Crilley's Akiko?

From the reports it was creative differences between him and Reynolds about the script.

Shame, as Miller was probably the one who originally leaked the test footage that got it made. No one has taken credit, and no one likely ever will for legal reasons, but he's the most likely suspect as I understand it.

Not sure how true it is, but reportedly everyone is still cool with each other even after the split. Of course, they're going to try and spin it that way regardless, but it seems legit so far.

Honestly, I think Reynolds is the more important element here. He's been hands on from the start and really pushing the project hard. He seems to be a legit fan, not that the director wasn't, but the fact that he's got this much pull in the project says a lot.

The first volume of Mark Millar's 'Empress' finished today.

Spoilers ahead.

The comic had a little twist I should've seen coming, the clues were there but I missed it, resulting in me kicking myself even as I smiled out how that revelation played out in the story. So congrats to Mr. Millar...I will be back for the next volume.
