Complicated Problem Advice

#1
So I came onto here because I'm in the midst of a complicated problem. I will try and explain in the best manner while not going on and on.
A fellow author and I came up for the idea for a fanfiction story apart from the one that he is writing and I am an editor for (this was how we became acquainted). Even in the idea stage, I was supplying the majority of them, or at least the good ones. The first chapter which was really just a prologue, we wrote in equal parts. Since then, 3 consecutive chapters, I have been doing a good 90% of the writing I'd say. He more or less has simply been the editor. I'd write the entire chapter, and he'd go through it and change things. And of course since this isn't a simple one-shot story, planning is required. There is a huge document full of ideas and possible scenes and basically the entire structure of the story. He hasn't touched it in forever.
The PROBLEM is that the story is under HIS name. He is receiving far too much credit for the story that I am now basically writing by myself. We had a discussion about this and he refused to acknowledge that I was now the writer and he was simply an editor. He doesn't want to give up all the attention this additional story is giving him. (He has another story that is getting TONS more attention) We had reached a compromise that he'd give mention to me in the chapters, and I figured that'd be ok for a time. But even with my name being mentioned, he's still in theory, getting far too much credit for work he isn't doing. Let's say it's 50%-50% with the mention of me as a co-writer. The real proportions would be 90%-10%
I don't know if it'd be right to bring in the administrators on this fact, or if they'd even help as I'm not sure anything going on here is really against the rules or regulation. It would be if he didn't work on anything at all, but as I've said, he has edited things. But that's it.
The point is: I want the story to be under my name, as I'm clearly the rightful author of it now. But it's a question of morals at this point as he is a friend, he is (albeit a very minor) part of the story, but he's receiving basically all the credit. So I want to hear everyone thoughts or advice on this matter.

Publish it under your account?

Stop giving him the new material and publish it up yourself?

Best answer....take a break. You are not contractually obligated to help him out with this fic. Tell him that you have a project coming up and that you need to focus on that. See how he does when he can't rely on you to do the lions share of the work.

Option two is to write something similar In your authors notes, make a reference that you worked on the original fic and state that you have a difference of opinion. He wanted to go right and you left. It would not be the first nor the last time a writing team split up and the author created a similar story.
