If I were a better artist, I'd do a variant of that, with Clone Wars Anakin, and a bunch of non-clone Republic personnel behind him
I think Rahm Kota would have been a better poster boy/old guy for that.

As I couldn't view a couple of the Star Wars recruitment posters in bigoh's post earlier, I found another location with those and a few more by the same artist

The site also had some other cool pictures

<a href='http://www.geeksaresexy.net/2010/06/23/amazing-victorian-star-wars-portraits-pics/' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Star Wars Victorian Style Portraits</a> (Particularly Vader and Chewbacca)

Is the memorial for the 501st or the Death Star?

Given that the Death Star had roughly 1,000,000 people on board when Luke blew it, it would have to be a very long wall.

I still think it'd be better if they'd done it as a Clone Wars memorial.

It makes more sense as a Clone Wars Memorial. I doubt Vader cares much about his subordinates, but Anakin personally knew a lot of people who died in the Clone Wars. If I can see him feeling remorse or sorrow over any trooper deaths, it would be the originals that he fought beside.

Of course, that's kind of fucked, given that the reflections are clearly modern-era troopers, so it pretty much has to be a Death Star Memorial or something like it. I'm just saying, realistically, I could only really see Vader getting upset over the Clone casualties.

Maybe they are the 501st? The 501st were the best of the best and Vader's personal unit. It's possible he respected them for being elite and a lot more competent than the other stormtroopers.

I suppose the one touching his hand could be Rex in modern-era armour.

That would suck if Rex and Cody were still active and were on the Death Star when it went boom. They were probably the closest thing Vader had left to friends. And it was his kid that blew it up.

Granted, most (if not all) of them should have been on his Star Destroyer instead, but that's still messed up.

I suppose this could be an AU where he survived RotJ and that's a memorial to those he lost on the Executor.

Morgan Freeman's <a href='http://shine.yahoo.com/love-sex/morgan-freeman-to-marry-his-step-granddaughter-486028.html' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>life choices (HERE)</a> would prohibit him being my god, but this is funny anyway.
