HereÆs a new game, corrupt someone from anime who is basically a good guy. The rules are that you start from the beginning of the series and then turn them toàTHE DARK SIDEà For the purposes of this challenge, each of the characters we are corrupting has a fair amount of force potential on-top of their usual skills. You are a powerful Sith Lord converted to fit in with the æpower levelÆ of the series in which you now reside. You have no connection to the character in question, and will have to befriend and turn them by whatever means you have at your disposal.
You are not yet in control of the universe, but youÆve made inroads and have some money, power and disposable minions at your beck and call. However you will need more to rule it all.
Also, you are following the traditions of the One Sith, so you can have more than one apprentice, though you will need to be aware of your lessers looking to stab you in the back to rule everything youÆve built.
Now the way this works is that one person writes how to corrupt an individual. Once theyÆve finished they can nominate one or two other characters for corruption by another Sith Lord. The nominator must provide a reason why you would want to corrupt these people. At which point another person writes about how to corrupt one (und precisely one!) of the people nominated. That said you also have the right to challenge another Sith Lord for their æapprenticeÆ if you think their plan is too flawed to work. To do this you must write out how you would corrupt the character, and why the previous Sith Lords method would fail.
If sufficient knowledge about a characters pre-series background/history is available, you may use that as a starting point. Also, no cheating by picking a character who is already evil, amoral, or turns into such during the course of the series.
IÆll start us off.
Naruto Uzumaki
Why: Naruto is packing a lot of power, cleverness, and loyalty. Nurtured correctly and with his ability to turn people to his cause intact, he would be an invaluable asset to the One SithÆs conquest of his world.
Things to keep in mind
I will never present the Dark Side as a quick path to power. It is an arduous journey only the most dedicated and clever would ever dare take to attain the power to protect what they truly love.
I would prefer to get my hooks into Naruto before Iruka becomes such an important figure in his young life, as being the Bambi Father archetype (Distant, but ever watchful, encouraging, and there to catch him when he falls) would have a younger Naruto falling over himself for my approval.
To keep the eyes of the Hokage from watching me too closely, I will play the part of disgraced warrior exiled for a crime I did not commit or to protect my master. I will come to, and fall in love with Konoha, and though IÆve taken a vow not to fight I will be more than happy to pass on my knowledge to Naruto.
To gain NarutoÆs trust I will be sure to show up at his favorite ramen stand after a particularly bad day (even if I have to arrange for his bad day through my hidden minions) and provide him free ramen and a sympathetic ear. I will also ensure he sees me practicing some of my flashier techniques (Force Lightening/ Force destruction/etc) and at some point I will give him some pointers, show him how to access his potential as a force user. Initially I will just show him how to see things before they happen, and how to increase his physical prowess with the force. From their I willmake him an offer, become my protÚgÚ and learn more techniques.
Since heÆs working with Team Kakashi I will do my best to, at first, reinforce the copy ninjaÆs lessons on team work. I will suggest that a team is only as strong as itÆs weakest link, and my knowledge will go a long way to ensure he is not the weakest link. During the exams I will emphasize how important his fellow Konoha ninjaÆs are and how he must take care to beat the tests without compromising their efforts. In fact if he can subtly help them, by knocking out Ninja teams from other villages even better. Of course IÆd tell him to do so only if heÆs sure he wonÆt get caught.
Slowly I will work to make him see his allies as chess pieces, with various uses and abilities that are important in ensuring the safety of the village and his precious people. Sadly, and with great regret, they must sometimes be sacrificed. ôIt is better to lose one good Ninja than to lose everything that good man or woman wanted to protect.ö
ôWe live for the mission we die for the mission. But we donÆt die stupidlyö With this I reinforce (and slightly twist) the very first lesson Kakashi taught his students. After all what sense does it make to waist even a pawn in a futile and stupid manner. That said, even a queen is expendable as long as the King (Konoha) is protected and victory is attained.
When I think heÆs ready I will teach him more, begin showing him how horrible this world is and how my æOrganizationÆ seeks to end the cycle of blood shed and retribution. To do so we must remove some of the more virulent irritants like Orochimaru, and Akatsuki, while preparing to rule this world from behind the scenes. All to ensure a bright future for itÆs people.
Now I nominate
Usagi Tsuniko (Sailor Moon)
Negi Springfield (Negima)
Why Usagi
She will one day be one of the most powerful people in the universe, and rule a new Empire centered around the Earth. To be the Queens most trusted advisor, to be her living mentor is a grand position from which to spread the rule of the One Sith. Sure you may not sit on the throne, but the power you will command will be great indeed.
Why Negi
He is one of the most brilliant Shoenen heroes to come along in some time. HeÆs kind polite, smart, powerful and already has enough charisma to bend a classroom of school girls to his will (he dosenÆt take advantage of it but thatÆs fine). Imagine the things you could do if you could bend him to your will. The power the One Sith would have if they counted Negi amongst their number. A bonus, is heÆs already using æDarknessÆ though to be fair he hasnÆt become evil or amoral.
