Evangelion Creepy Ideas thread

Eva fanfic, and canon, is full of all kinds of creepiness. Plus, I've been reading Nobody Dies, and its October. I think its mostly due to 'Nobody Dies', though.

Anyway, this is sort of like the Misc ideas topic, but with a specific focus: ideas that are creepy.


Did you know that if you have someone cremated, you can now have the ashes converted into gemstones?

Asuka has a pair of ear studs with gems made from her mother's remains. She never takes them off, so that her mother is always with her.

Sometimes she looks at them in the mirror, and talks to them.

Occasionally, she thinks she can hear her mother talking back...

Creepy idea: Commander Gendo Ikari really loved Yui, Naoko and Ritsuko each in their own way even though Yui would always be his main focus of obsession.

Yui was so proud when she found out her Combat cyborgs Modular combat intelligence would be available in only a few months time, well ahead of the dummy plug project.

Well, its normal for a mother to be proud of her child, no matter how he/she/they/it came into the world.

Creepy Idea: Gendo actually loved and cared about Shinji. He left him with relatives because he knew he would be a shitty father without Yui there to keep him under control. When he learned how Shinji was raised he blew a gasket and had Shinji brought to Tokyo-3 so that he could start systematically introducing his son to the harem he has built for him in order to replace the affection he knew he was incapable of.

It's not creepy for canon to happen as normal because Gendo's half-assed over parenting was just as inept as his half-assed underparenting?

Gendo actually loved Shinji a lot. Like, TOO MUCH a lot. Especially without Yui keeping him in check.
That's why he left him.
