Another idea: thanks of a dimensional mishap, the Doom Marine/Doomguy found himself in the grim and dark place who is the Warhammer 40.000 universe.
he would make a perfect guardsman to be frank warhammer 40k would be a business as usual considering he stopped a deamonic invasion singlehandedly when most were either driven mad or horribly mutilated

stuff usually is done with team of grey knights or kaldor draigo alone
depends on whether he survives the Inquisitions debriefing
He'll lose some points for not knowing about the Imperial cult, but I imagine he'll come around quick, or die, one of the two.

Now back to my Pokemon/Fightclub fusion.

... so a secret Battle Club where people battle for money... wait, how is that different? Do they pit their poklemon to the death? Do they fight Pokemon barehanded? what?

Honestly, you could just describe what a pokemon fight must honestly be like, and it would naturally be a dark as hell story.

With healing centers the fights are practically to the death anyways.

Duke Nukem. <a href='http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manga/BlueDrop?from=Main.BlueDrop' target='_blank' rel='nofollow'>Blue Drop</a>.

Enough said. ;) :p

The Arume are the best argument in favor of genocide I've yet seen in fiction.

Yeah. And then they run into the walking vortex of hyper-masculinity that is Duke Nukem. ;) :p

The Duke would spend all of his time watching them waiting for that moment when they would start their eventual lesbian orgy. Because every man knows that when a large group of lesbians convene there will be a lesbian orgy.

While he's waiting they will kill him. If he's lucky they will have sex on his corpse.

The Witcher and Claymore. Yellow cat-eyed monster-hunters who use silver swords. HMMM.

Claymores take Witchers physical abilities--speed, strength, regeneration--to even more superhuman levels than Witchers themselves. Their combat capabilities are so high that they don't need to bother with any of that silly preparation that the Witchers undergo, just attack attack attack.

Witchers have a lot of flexibility--they train in magic and alchemy, and have a broad familiarity with all sorts of tricks and traps. And they are excellent swordsmen, and their swords are forged of meteor iron or enchanted silver. They're also functionally immortal. There's never been a Witcher who died of old age. The mortality rate is extreme though; there are very few Witchers left at all. Those remaining have been killing monsters for decades, which gives them a huge edge in experience which might be able to overcome the Claymore's overpowering physical edge.

Also, Witchers are an all-male group, because girls aren't physically strong enough to survive the strain of the mutation process. Claymores are all female because boys aren't mentally strong enough to withstand the youma infusions. I think I could work with that.

Any thoughts about this idea?

How is the Organization going to get involved, since the entire island that Claymore is set on is basically just a giant test ground for them?

Full out genocide. The organization makes its money through being a monopoly. Any one who has powers but isn't under there control is labeled a monster. They can't afford a rival group.

Yes. The few that were redeemable in my eyes ended up being killed on-screen in one of the manga. The rest are sociopathic wastes of flesh at best, outright insane at worst.*

I would gladly serve in any army that had a fighting chance at wiping every last Arume out of existence.

[size=-8]* as in, mentally deranged in a very real sense. They're a one-gender species now, reproducing via advanced cloning, but it wasn't always so. The Arume are descendants of the women of their species who succeeded in wiping out the male half. They see this as a good thing. However, no cloning technology is perfect, and their genetic stock is degrading with each successive generation; one of the effects of this is that they are gradually losing their higher intelligence and are literally becoming more and more insane. The only Arume scientist smart enough to be able to fix the problem found out that the only way it could be done is to reintroduce males to the Arume gene pool... and when the (insane man-hating) higher-ups discover this, they have her killed for daring to suggest that the Arume might somehow have a need for men.
Personally, I'd gladly let the Arume race self-destruct, except they are dead set on removing the male half of the human race as well, because they want all attractive human women as their sex slaves.

Idea to make the things bad for the chaotic foursome of the WH40K universe: thanks of a prank made by a mischievous entity/Zeltrech/Q/other, Nia's soul found itself inside the WH-verse. The 'problem' is... the prankster has informed the GURREN LANGANN BRIGADE of Nia's resurrection and has given them the universe's cooordinates.
Hilarity Ensue.

History Strongest Disciple Kenichi and Ayane's High Kick.

Maybe as a rial to Kisara... probably a 1 way rialry... on Kisara part

Alternatively, someone from Ryozanpaku comes agross her trying to ditch her trainer. Her telling them of her own training issues. Someone for Kenichi to commiserate with and a potential relationship rial to Miu

For both, thinking it be earlier in the run of the manga series, rather than later on.

Bubblegum Crisis / Iron Man Movies.

come on, I would have thought this one would have come up before.
*A storm rages above as the necro'd thread is lain on a hanging table with a tarp over it. RyuGabriev flips a nearby switch as lighting strikes the building, sending thousands of volts of electricity into the thread's dessicated form.

Silence...

...

He takes out a stethoscope and feels around for any sign of life.

There. A steady heartbeat!

"IT... IS ALIVE!!"

The thread smacks RyuGabriev and tries to go back to sleep.*

Annyway, now for the true resurrection. After seeing all the Iron Man movies this idea is awesome. The thought of Tony pulling moves against boomers and perhaps even outteching Genom by forging his company anew on this world. Dear god it might put some Marvel purity and justice into the scene!

But I've also got a new idea to add to the mix so the Hivemind doesn't flay me in my sleep.

For hotblooded hijinks, try mixing Gurren Lagann/Slayers and see how far the hot-blood can go.

And perhaps another, just thought of this one. Devil Hunter Yohko/ Magic Knights Rayearth. Yohko's school is one of the multitudes that visited Tokyo Tower on that fateful day when three schoolgirls were summoned to become Magic Knights. But with her spiritual senses she could feel the migic affecting the girls and tries to step in only to get caught up in it herself. She's not a Magic Knight, but on the other hand it's doubtful that she needs to be what with her devil hunting skills.

Just a thought.

The recent novel Shattered Trident by Larry Bond left itself wide open for an anime fusion. The story is about Korea, India, Japan and Vietnam teaming up to destroy China's economy through submarine warfare, with America trying to defuse the undeclared war. Here's a list of some of the cast members:

Evangeline MacDowell, Secretary to the President of the United States
Dr Komamura Sajin, Economics Professor at the University of Tokyo
Miyazaki Nodoka, Research Assistant to Dr Komamura
Uruhara Kisuke, Japanese Ambassador to the United States
Commander Zaraki Kenpachi, CO of Soryu class submarine Kenryu.

Do these names seem familiar to anyone?

If anyone has read either Sword Art Online and/or Accel World by Kawahara Reki, then here is the one I thought of: Brain Burst Online

I know, shippers left, right, and centre still think that Kuroyukihime is the daughter of Kirito and Asuna, but leave that aside, I'm not here for debates on that. What I did basically, is to make Brain Burst the death game that everyone plays.

Why I haven't gotten chapter 2 out yet, though, is because I still need to iron out the mechanics for BBO. What do you guys think of it?

Try this on for size: Inuyasha/World of Warcraft. The group goes about the countryside already righting wrongs and subduing evil, heading to Azeroth is an easy mix.

Speaking of Sword Art Online. I am curious if anyone has made a decent crossover of SAO and any of the .Hack series

I've made mention of this in The World God Only Knows topics, but may as well repost here.

for an AMG!/TWGOK crossover

You want to hear something really odd?

Keima's father is apparently named Keiichi, so Keiichi Katsuragi.

In Ah My Goddess!, which has three Goddess sisters living together with the main character (along with other goddesses and gods and demons and demonesses, but ignore that), the main character is named Keiichi, and his father is named Keima.

So Goddess sisters, and a father-and-son pair named Keima and Keiichi. All we need is for Keiichi K. to show up and be as badass as Keima M. is in AMG

also Keima Morisato has an extreme fear of women. It's only his own wife, daughter and Belldandy who he doesn't recoil from. Quite different from Keima Katsuragi :p

A crossover that would make sense within the confines of each series' respective universes? Hm...

Iron Man and Accel World or even Mechwarrior and Vandread. Hell, Rurouni Kenshin and Samurai Champloo would make an awesome series combined.

FZero & FSN happens 30/40 years later and Shirou gets a NeuroLinker. In order to save people, he proceeds to become the most ruthless BurstLinker on history. Then 5th Grail War Happens. Would his Acceleration help any? Or would it only make it worse?
