possible plans for giving love to this great game, fic wise

- cannon storywise and actually adding more dimension to the nameless scientist/hero of the original game (alongside a dialogue, since he's as mute as Chrono)

- crossover/fusion where the main hero is one of our favorite anime characters and some/all of their rivals are pulled into the Crystalis world

- crossover where the world of Crystalis is actually the anime hero's future world thanks to THE END DAY, few (if any) of his friends would still exist in this new age and with his previous skills (plus all those learned as Psycho Warrior) will come into play in this 'modern' world

- crossover where parts of the Crystalis world are uncovered in current day world

personally recomended animes to crossover: Love Hina, Ranma 1/2, Negima...

I suspect you never got the clip show ending. And I remember one occassion in Crystalis where Simea talked to someone (I think it was in Oak), but I can't remember where exactly. I'll have to play through the game again sometime when I can get NESticle to work properly again.

A friend of mine has the GBC version of the game. I'll have to borrow it from him soon; been too long since I played.

Crystalis was my first game ever... I remember I used to sit at my grandfather's and watch him play it all the time, and then he'd let me play and he'd be sitting in his recliner while I sat on his lap, and he'd point and direct me everywhere "Go there" "Go see Zeebu" "Kill these monsters to get to level 10", etc. I'm not sure what happened to his copy after he died...

You are one lucky necro for having adult relatives who played videogames.
The only one my mother could ever play was Paperboy. And she sucked at it.

My grandfather introduced me to videogames - Crystalis, Dragon Warrior, Contra, many of the greatest NES games - and my father used to call himself a "Galaga God", not that he was... or, at least, is anymore.

My mom thinks videogames are made by Satan though.

If all else fails I'll write something should I hit a wall of writer's block on Ronins Imperialis.

In addition to trying to revive some interest in this topic here...

I've started some preliminary work on a Crystalis/Love Hina crossover. Essentially it all boils down to Keitaro and the Hinata crew (plus Kanako) being placed in stasis shortly before End Day and waking up directly after the destruction of the floating tower.

What I want is for other authors to jump in and make this a cooperative project. I'm very knowledgable in the Love Hina fandom, but other fandoms mentioned to be ripe for crossover - such as Ranma 1/2 and Sailor Moon - I have little or no knowledge of. Therefore, I'd like to suggest work on either a series of fics by separate authors set in the same continuity, or simply a multi-crossover fic written by separate authors.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

Actually, Crono does talk in the Slideshow ending, and both Marle and Lucca are surprised at that. He replies, they never asked. :snigger:

Naw, Bill Gates has only recently gotten into the industry.

On a side note, there's a GBC version of Crystalis? I need to find that... I played it on an NES emulator, but something screwed up and someone I needed to talk to to advance never appeared, which sucked. Majorly.

Yeah, there's a remake, but it changes the story horribly.

Makes it into a another neo-luddite, good wizards versus evil empire of technology.
