Nasuverse Daddy Dearest

This was inspired by the time-travelling children thread in the challenges board. The basic premise is that Shirou's future sons & daughters (via different mothers) are accidentally sent back to the past, to the 5th Grail War, through a magical mishap or through Zelretch.

The children could also be from alternate universes (such as Shiro summoning - and having a child with - Caster). How would the children react to seeing their younger parents (the reactions of Saber's child and Rin's child, etc), the reactions of their mothers and father, and the reactions of the children to each other (after all, they have different mothers.)?

And, just for the sheer crack, one of them (probably Ilya's daughter) has a mild Electra complex.

Rin's kid (either), Saber's son (cross-dressed, of course, and pissy over everyone he encounters thinking he's a girl), Sakura's kid, Ilya's (father-obsessed) daughter, Taiga's kid... anyone else be good? The archery club girl, perhaps? Rider?

I dunno why, but I had the mental image of everyone assuming that Saber's son was a girl, dressing as a guy.

Probably with long, circumlocute conversations that leave both parties believing that each other grasps the situation.

But he's still a guy, not a girl dressed like a guy, and pretending not to be a girl.

Gender identity issues? because if saber's 'son' was raised by Shiro he wouldn't raise her as a boy unless she wanted to be one. It's possible saber might do that but I seriously doubt that as she softens considerably toward the end of the fate scenerio (the one mostly likely to have a shiro/saber child).

I don't know why, but I keep imagining Shirou & Rin's kid to be vaguely Xellos-ish. Just imagine the reactions of the cast.

I have to say, I'm a bit confused on an aspect of Fate/stay night fanfiction in general. Why is it in theis series, so many authors like to mess with either Shiro or Saber's gender, or gender identity? Considering how few fan fiction stories for the series there are, it seems oddly disproportionate.

Understan, I'm not really exactly against it per se, but it just strikes as odd.

The mornings of Fuyuki City were quiet, even during the chaos of the Grail Wars. In fact, the solitude of the city's mornings were widely considered to be its best feature. That is, until several female screams of shock shattered the tranquility like a brick through a glass window.

Tohsaka Rin stared at the child she found snuggled up to her. The dark-haired, golden-eyed boy stared back. Unsuccessfully trying to push the boy's resemblance to her and a certain amateur Magi out of her mind, she opened her mouth to interrogate him, only to be cut off, 'Kaasan, where's Tousan?'

Arturia Pendragon, Queen of Britain and Saber-class Servant looked at the children in front of her, noting the resemblance to herself, save for the auburn hair. Assessing them as a possible threat, Saber quickly stood up to move into a battle-ready position; that is, until the male of the pair spoke up. 'Mother?'

Of course, they weren't the only ones.

Twinning is partially hereditary.

Oddly enough, Rider with triplets just seems like it might work.
