I have to admit to reservations about Anne Hatheway as Catwoman. She just comes off too... nice to be convincing as Selina. I look at Hatheway and I think "cute" not "dangerously seductive."

The re-imagining for Bane seems nice so far. At least in the trailers he feels like a credible threat. I don't see the mess they made of things with Batman Forever here.

(And honestly, how bad a script did they have in the last two Burton-era films that they ruined efforts from the likes of Tommy-Lee Jones and Uma Thurman? Hell even Arnold was tailor made for Mr. Freeze.)

Yeah, saw the trailer the other day. From what I'm seeing, the story looks to be a mix of The Dark Knight Returns, Knightfall and No Man's Land.

I'm kind of curious if Gordon-Levitt's character will follow Nolan's trend of giving characters false identities in the marketing (like Ra's in Begins and now Talia) and actually turn out to be Jean-Paul Valley or Richard Grayson, cos he's popping up a lot.

Oh, and this is just a rumour, but the word is that when the film comes out, WB will attach the first Man of Steel trailer to it.

I've met a cold storage engineer once. Not kidding, he was built like an iceberg.

He wore glasses though.

What I don't understand is what the hell is going on in the plot. Last year they were running with the OWS narrative, but they seemed to have stopped making that a selling point of the film.

(The irony of a Hollywood film promoting OWS is so palpable I can't cut it with a lightsaber)

No, but he was what I could picture for a woodenly emotionless and stoic man with a German/Austrian accent. Freeze is like the Terminator with a cryo gun. He doesn't make bad puns of force his thugs to sing the Ice Miser song from Year Without a Santa Claus.

The problem was that they put an idiot in charge, and then let him make another one.

Its somewhere in the area of letting Uwe Boll make the DCU Online movie.
