Harry Potter DH-Spoilage: Ammo for Evil-Dore fics?

For those of you who've read DH, does anyone else feel that Dumbledore's relationship with Grindlewald could possibly be ammo for Evil-Dumbledore fics?

Love them or hate them, it does seem to add fuel to the fire. Albie did seem to be on his way to Bastardy when he hooked up with Grindlewald. So what if his obsesson for the Hallows /didn't/ end after the battle with Grindy?

Technically, it didn't. That was the reason he made the foolish mistake of wearing the ring with the Revival Stone before the beginning of Half Blood Prince and lost his hand. Also, consider that he was in possession of both the Elder Wand and the True Invisibility Cloak for over ten years. Surely the thought of finding the stone occurred to him at least once in that time.

DH did, however, give further evidence of the "manipulative, but overly concerned with giving people second (and third, and fourth, ect...) chances" version of Albus Dumbledore.

Which does make sense, given how close he came to becoming either a Dark Lord or a high-level officer if a Dark Lord's forces.
